I was listening to the news out of the corner of my ear when I heard FreeRepublic specifically mentioned as a "hate site" about fifteen minutes ago.
Ostensibly the long report was about the Klan using the web to recruit new wackos. Then the focus turned to Casa Maryland, and their director who claimed that calls for his murder had circulated on the internet by anti-immigrant bigots. It was then that the anchor identified FR by name as a hate site.

What have I destructed? I’m interested in this for sure. I don’t need to review my posting history to remember what I’ve said. As far as your suicidal inference, it truely does scare people when the realize the have to debate someone that isn’t out looking for friends, doesn’t rely on “tenure on the forum”, doesn’t call for backup for discussion, and has the posting history of a pure conservative. That really bothers you and a few others. It’s ok, it’s only your insecurity showing, just let it go. I won’t keep pointing it out to you.
I’ll go ahead and retract my reference of “bravery” for you. I should have said I admired your ability to resist wisdom in such times as these.

If you’ve read my entire posting history since day one then you would see that I’ve been nothing but constructive. Of course the term itself is subjective, so it’s not easily agreed upon by others.

Actually FR and DU could probably be labeled as hate sites. Lots of hate spewed on both sites.
I think the obvious thing is that all web sites will have some hate speech and it’s hard to compare the amount of hate speech between web sites, since not all hate speech involves profanities. It can be more subtle than that. So clearly, if BOR wants to find some off color comments on FR, he will be able to. Proving a negative(”there’s very little hate speech on FR”) is hard. Proving a positive(”there is hate speech on FR”) is easy.

The CNN newsroom is more of a “hate site” than FR.
