where does that say they are illegal?? Do you not realize you can legally work here if you are a citizen elsewhere? Green cards, work visas...
Please, until your statement is a fact, do perpetuate that rumor.

I read it. I see nothing in that article that says the three Mexican miners were here illegally.

Fox News, and Greta Van Sistern in particular are vile, despicable news whores.

Oh, I see, if Bob Murray doesn’t kiss the Union’s ass and wants to run his mine as he sees fit, that exposes the “real Bob Murray”. Makes me like him even more.

Umm I have no intentions of worrying about him.
My worries and prayers are for the trapped miners and the now injured rescuers.

Yeah, and if he had someone else do the “media thing”...everyone would be screaming, where is the mine owner?
He can’t win in this situation.
I’ve never thought he was really arrogant, just defensive about the attacks on mining. He really seems to care about the miners and their families. He knows what a difficult, dangerous job mining is.
To: flaglady47
I like him too. He’d make a great FReeper! I loved his rant about how America used to be, and should and can be...

Yeah! Where does the “reported to be illegals” come from?
To: All
For any who may have not seen it, here is a list of the original six trapped miners:
-Manuel Sanchez, 42, father of four
-Kerry Allred, 57, veteran miner
-Luis Hernandez, 23, father of 12-month old daughter
-Carlos Payan, in his 20s, from Sinaloa, Mexico
-Brandon Phillips, 24, Orangeville, UT, started working in the coal mine 3 weeks ago
-Don Erickson, 50, left auto shop job for better pay in the mine
Three have Hispanic last names. However, I haven’t read anything that definitively states that any of them are illegal.

Maybe my judgement is clouded.
Whenever I see him all I can think is “Its Boss Hogg”!

I don’t really care if they are illegals! I am praying for all of them to be rescued and alive! I was saying that the reporters have said for a week now that Murray won’t let anyone else speak to the reporters except him.
This is a blog...not “fact”....but read first comment...

Hmmm, one talking head said he was in his 80’s. Well, 67 ain’t no spring chicken either. But he seems to be a pretty hardy soul. Hope he wasn’t down in the mines tonite.

I saw an interview with a Mexican news crew. They are really covering this for Mexico.
The guy from the TV station said “We are very concerned about our Mexican comrades.”
