WASHINGTON — Republican presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani said he opposes creation of a Palestinian state at this time and would take a tough stand with Iran, including destroying its nuclear infrastructure "should all else fail."
"It is not in the interest of the United States, at a time when it is being threatened by Islamist terrorists, to assist the creation of another state that will support terrorism," the former New York mayor said.
"Palestinian statehood will have to be earned through sustained good governance, a clear commitment to fighting terrorism, and a willingness to live in peace with Israel," Giuliani said. "America's commitment to Israel's security is a permanent feature of our foreign policy."
Giuliani said in the article that he would not rule out negotiating with Iran, but such negotiations should proceed from "a position of strength."
Bush recently warned Iran of "consequences" if Iran is determined to be assisting the flow of explosive devices into Iraq.

Okay. Rudy just drummed up some points with me.
He has two platforms: war on terror and economy...everything else is comprimised.
I do not trust Rudy. He is all over with his answers and his spin, saying what he hopes will get him votes. He will sing a different tune if he gets to the White House. He is for gun control. He has given muddled answers on illegal aliens and his immigration ideas spell trouble. He just came out saying he wants citizenship path for 12 to 20 million illegal aliens already here if they register.
I’m not going to vote for him the Primary. Duncan Hunter or Fred Thompson is the man.
But it might make him acceptable for the General.

Funny, Giuliani didn't return any of those checks from the Saudis when the firm Bracewell & Giuliani was on the receiving end. When it comes to personal gain, there are no principles apparently.
