Lower Tx coast needs to batten down for a storm.
To: Hydroshock
Minimal tropic storm, forecast to remain a tropical storm until landfall in south Texas. Main threat from this should be flooding, as the region is already waterlogged.

And all the aquifers recharged. Last year our “permanent” spring had slowed to a trickle.

WE need relief from the heat that has tormented me and everyone else in South East Texas, but this is not the type of relief we need.

I understand that it is only “blue” counties that are targeted.

The river-rats better stock up & get those vehicles to high ground.
You can't get those river-rats to move no matter how many times the river floods them out.

" Heading to the Frio in Concan Friday." My brother was on the Fio at Concan a couple of years ago when it flooded during a tropical storm or hurricane.
He has a monster-truck, so he was in hog-heaven helping all the stranded.

THere are already bands of rain headed for Southern Louisiana. Not much of a threat for Louisiana or even Eastern Gulf Coast Texas except for rain and possible tornadoes.
I have been following forecast for TS Dean, which will be a major hurricane by Monday/Tuesday next week by models.
But TS Dean is headed mainly Westernly and threatens Cuba, Puerto Rico and probably Central America/Mexico/Southern Texas.... We will know more about this storm by Monday of next week...
