A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY

Contrary to this photo, my brain is pretty much eaten, but there is some for you.

She is a little southern bell alright. She has the personality and spunk of Scarlet though (pray for me).
My son is a little gentleman. He is still a 6 year old boy with all the impulsivity of one, but he holds the door open for me and other people, he helps out at home with the trash and feeding the dogs.
God has truely blessed me with these two. It took 8 years to get my son, and another 4 1/2 for my daughter. We thought we would never have any, but these two were literally prayed into being. I prayed for 8 years for my son and was so happy, I decided I wouldn’t ask again.
However, after my husband came back from Iraq in 94, my son started asking for a sister or brother. My husband and I told him that he would have to pray for one because it took a long time for mommie to get a baby in her tummy. He prayed that very night for a little sister. I kid you not the pregnancy test was positive 3 weeks later. Talk about the power of children’s prayers.
They were both difficult pregnancies, the 2nd more so than the 1st, but well worth the discomfort and worry.

Ooooh, god love that sweet baby! He is a cutie pie! Thanks, he's our baby. A Pomeranian Chihuahua mix, smart as a whip and spoiled rotten - just as all little dogs should be. :-)

Thank you for saying so. They do have their moments though. Especially that little girl. She is a handful. Almost 2 now. You know how that is.

Almost 2 now. You know how that is. Oh, yes! I remember what "two" is like. It's been a LONG time since my son was two, but I don't think any parent forgets the 'terrible twos'!

The hardest part is disciplining her. I know I need to be firm and establish limits now, but she is so darn cute. Then when I do discipline, and she finally goes to sleep at night you look at that angelic face beautiful and peaceful and you are convinced you are the worst parent in the world.
This is payback for everything I did to my parents. I know it.

I must appologize. I do believe I forgot to mention how beautiful your two grand kids are. I love the red hair on Summer. She is a looker. How old is she now?
I assume these are fairly recent. Jayce has the most beautiful eyes. Look out young ladies in about 16 years. There is a killa out there coming to steal your hearts.
You must be so proud of them.
I know how hard it is not being near them. My parents live about 700 miles away in Louisiana. We used to try to drive there as often as possible, but the gas prices are killing us. I did, however, get unlimited long distance, so the kids can call whenever they want and talk for as long as they want.

that is hard so far away. I did a collage of summer of pix she sent me .. they were poor quality pix & terrible backgrounds but I doctored it up to be usable. I cant find it .. doing search function now.
She is 13 now.. When she was a baby she had this carrot red hair.. like a cheap dye job.. her hair is still quite red but a deeper color.
Jayce is really a cute guy also,,
sigh.. doggone divorces & how they affect everyone!

just got back from the cemetery (where I run my dogs sometimes.. there is a couple acre lake that Josy loves to do “stick” in... today she also had a heavy duty bath in it.. using special mixture.
she is plagued with what I am guessing is an allergy to fleas.. parts of her poor body are raw from scratching. I began giving her half an antihistamine once a day. I may increase it to 2 times. Toby isn’t affected at all.
I use the expensive flea products from vet.. do garlic.. even when we are out on river.. there can be a lot of big deer flies. dont bother me, John or the other three dogs.. just Josy. She must have a more delicate resistance,.. ???
