The king stood by a pillar and made a covenant before the Lord . . . . And all the people took a stand for the covenant. —2 Kings 23:3

In May of 2001, English evangelist J. John spoke in Liverpool, England, on the eighth commandment: “You shall not steal” (Ex. 20:15; Deut. 5:19). The results of his preaching were dramatic.

People’s hearts were changed. One author reports that large amounts of stolen goods were returned, including hotel towels, hospital crutches, library books, cash, and more. One man, who is now in the ministry, even returned towels he had taken from the Wimbledon tennis championships years ago when he worked there.

Something similar happened with King Josiah in the 18th year of his reign. Because of the long line of evil kings, the record of God’s laws had been lost. So when Hilkiah found God’s law and Shaphan read it to King Josiah, the king tore his clothes in grief and immediately began making religious reforms in his own life and throughout the nation. With just one reading of God’s Word, he changed the course of the nation (2 Kings 22:8–23:25).

Today, many of us own Bibles, but are we changed by the truths found there? We are called to read, hear, and obey His Word. It should cause us, like Josiah, to take immediate action to bring our lives into harmony with God’s desires.

Mr. Spotbust is now stateside thank God. However, he is out of town preparing another unit to be deployed. Prayers for the families and soldiers are being said everyday.

well here is my Warm Fuzzy contribution. Last Thursday I went tubing on a nearby river with friend John & our combined 4 dogs. I tubed & he decided to be a wimp stay on shore & take pix.

But I am always grateful for his great photography. Here are our pups on one of the inclines in the river.. (white water it is called)

No, she has an older brother, 6 years old. They are both beautiful if I do say so myself.

You asked about christmas cards on an earlier post. No I wasn’t together enough that year to even send out cards. We spent about 3 weeks battling jaundice so this is the first picture where she was not yellow.

This picture was taken about a week before Christmas and I hadn’t even done any Christmas shopping yet. I had a very hard pregnancy, bed bound for the last month and then almost a week and a half in the hospital due to the jaundice plus 2 more weeks of home therapy.

The funny part is that since she has an olive complexion, she really wasn’t yellow, she was more orange. She was born right before Thanksgiving so we called her our little “pumpkin”.

oh that is a shame you had such a difficult time with your pregnancy & right after her birth. My son was jaundiced also but he was a preemie

If you have a current pix of your kids, would love to see it.. here are my two grandkids.. Pix is two years old. I dont have good recent ones to work up(son is separated for about a year & difficult situation) They live about 500 miles away
