Does anyonw know how I can access FR at work when the system won't allow to laod the page.
good point
Sounds like your company has a political bent towards the left. Not much you can do about it....Unless you own the company.
I stayed at the Drury Inn in Jackson, Mo. and their lobby comp had F.R. blocked. I was irritated until I checked the DUmmy web site and it was blocked too.
The check in clerk told me that they had to keep the lobby comp "kid friendly"
I do believe that was my line..once..a long time ago.
They always steal your freedom for the children. Fight it at every turn.
Get back to work, slacker. Freep at home!
I **never** accessed a discussion forum at work. Never would either.
It has nothing to do with surfing. I can access almost anything else but FR was recently restricted.

You work for a Democrap?
No kidding; I was shocked nobody beat me to it.
Unfortunately, those documents won't be released until after the 2008 election.
The pop corn thing made me laugh so hard. Thanks.
Give us some background. Is your employer trying to stop his employees from farting around on company time? If so, then bypassing the filter will be a big, bozo no-no. If the company attitude is “We don’t care what you do on the Internet so long as it’s not illegal and you get your work done”, then talk to the IT weenies about unblocking FR. It’s probably on a “Forums and discussion sites” list of blocked sites. Ask ‘em to do a whitelist that kicks in before the blacklists are checked. (That’s easier than editing a long blacklist.)
Yes! BTW I am not logged on FR when at work. i can access Lucianne.com and anything else but FR for some reason is a no go. Just pisses me off!
Excellent advice. You can bet that your company has people in MIS (Management Information Systems) who are quite capable of monitoring what you do when "on-line." Don't want to end up without a job, do we?
Go through yahoo search and type in freerepublic then when the link comes up on the search click it. Sometimes the company firewall will miss something going through a search portal. Try testing with some porn site first and let me know if it works?
Yeah! Those were days...remember when we used to hijack threads.
If your IT dept won’t be reasonable we can just email you all the threads. They might then be reasonable.
I finally just bought my own laptop and a Verizon card and set it next to the company equipment.
I remember the day you broke the Internet.
I see your point. Effing around with IT shite can get my ass fired. Don’t know anybody well enough in that dept to cut me some slack. i’ll sniff around before doing something stupid.
