TerriPAC Web Site Offline, Terri Schiavo's Ex-Husband Pays FEC Fine

St. Petersburg, FL (LifeNews.com) -- TerriPAC, the political action committee created by Terri Schiavo's former husband, has paid a $1350 fine to the Federal Election Commission in Washington. The fine was assessed after the group failed to file complete and timely reports. Now the political group's web site has been taken offline.

After ordering her painful two-week-long starvation and dehydration death in March 2005, Michael Schiavo created the PAC to target pro-life lawmakers who tried to stop him from killing her.

Michael created TerriPAC with his brother Brian Schiavo and, since its creation, it has frequently run afoul of the federal agency by failing to file its campaign finance reports on time or include all of the necessary information.

In July, the FEC assessed TerriPAC a $1,350 civil money penalty. According to records from the FEC obtained by LifeNews.com, the elections monitoring agency said, "this civil money penalty has been paid."

TerriPAC filed a July quarterly report saying it has $35,353.75 on hand and that it took in $2150.01 over the last quarter.

The report shows TerriPAC sent Newburgh, Indiana-based Indigo Design checks in April and May totaling about $425 for web site design work.

However, a LifeNews.com reader alerted the pro-life news service over the weekend that the TerriPAC web site is no longer online. Instead, the web site points to a leading web domain registration company. The company's page for TerriPAC says the web site is offline pending deletion or transfer.

Information from Network Solutions finds that the web site's registration expired on August 7 and it lists Derek Newton as the administrative contact for the web site. Newton is affiliated with a Florida Democratic political consulting company called the November Group that TerriPAC has sent thousands of dollars to for organizational support.

Attempts to reach Newton were unsuccessful.

While Schiavo has engaged in politics, Terri's parents and family have worked full-time for their foundation which seeks to help disabled patients and their families obtain appropriate health care and treatment.

There's no reason to expect Mikey to act within the confines of the law.

I hope someone starves Michael Schiavo to death and he feels every aching pain from it!

Thank you for the ping wagglebee...

MountainPete, your response is pretty close to what I was going to say...

I didn’t know of the blatant Democrat political connections with Schiavo’s PAC, but I can’t say it surprises me at all.

I’m very glad to hear it seems as if his PAC has reached it’s end. It’s bad enough the way he treated Terri, but to make money off her death and suffering is, well, absolutely sickening!!!

Even better news is that Terri’s parents’ foundation is continuing to help those in need. God bless them and those they look to help.

“Now the political group’s web site has been taken offline.”

Fantastic news! He lost a tool to spread his lies around.
