No, he won't. Rove is going to spend time with his family in Texas. I think he's burned out with politics. The Democrats hated him because he beat them a couple of times. 2006 was the year when he ran out of luck for reasons beyond his control. But he get Bush elected twice and that's a pretty good legacy to have on your resume as a political wizard.

Plus, his bank account is probably getting a bit low. Executive branch officials are bound to the GS schedule and are limited in what private investments they are allowed to maintain because of ethics rules. They just don’t make that much (legally) when serving as a government official, believe it or not, and Karl’s been at it for 7 years.

Rove batted 1000 with regard to George W Bush, winning every election Rove managed.
Rove had nothing to do with 2006. Congressional Republicans screwed that pooch.

For that alone no matter where he is or what he is or is not doing, Karl will be a consultant for the rest of his life and well paid for it. He has earned every cent and then some.
THANKS KARL for your service!!!!

It wasn’t luck. It was bad decision making for his boss, such as the ports deal, the immigration issue, and the fiasco known as Harriet Myers.

I don’t think he is as smart as he is cracked up to be. He barely beat two of the worst candidates in recent history. One even got more votes. Gore was a boring liar and Kerry was an elitist flip-flopper. Bush should have mopped the floor with those clowns.

Rove could not stay away from the ‘08 election if he wanted to... and he does not want to. He may do his thing in a non-public way, or he may be upfront... but he will be active in the ‘08 election.

With a strong economy and national security at stake, GWB beat a traitorous gigolo with no personality by a few percentage points. That is NOT something to be proud of...and Rove is partly to blame.
And Rove’s immigration ideas helped take down the GOP in 06, and threaten it in 08. This is also not a good thing.

That's just NOT true. It was Bush who was the genius in his elections...Rove learned from him. Atwater was amazed HOW brilliant W was/is. What is amazing to me is Rove has been given all the credit for Bushs wins.
Lee Atwater stated: Speaking of Bushs ability to grasp the mathematics of a campaign, Atwater said, he was the smartest guy around.
