May he rest in peace. I know the Reagans loved him and that is good enough for me.

Merv Griffin--besides being a well-known TV talk show host for many years--became a very powerful TV show producer along the way. He will be sorely missed.

Thanks for the laughs Merv.

I very nice man, very successful financially, a good friend of the Reagans, and still a friend of Nancy.

The thing I remember most about Merv is when he bought the Resorts Casino in Atlantic City from Donald Trump. Trump immediately went public and said how he put one over on Merv, selling him a high priced run down building which would allow Trump to upgrade his other three casinos. During the entire time, Merv said not one word. Matter of fact he never commented publicly about it that I know of. Today, Resorts is still chugging along, making money, and Trump's 3 casinos were sold in a bankruptcy sale 2 years ago.
The entire episode proved what a classy guy Merv was. It also demonstrated what a classless blowhard Trump is and will always be.
