John Kerry in Trouble –Vulnerable to Jeff Beatty in ‘08 Senate Race
Cape Cod Media ^ | August 8, 2007

Just 60 days after forming an exploratory committee to defeat John Kerry for the US Senate in 2008, Jeff Beatty is receiving favorable support from voters across Massachusetts. A July poll conducted by the renowned Zogby organization shows Jeff Beatty to be in a virtual tie with the junior senator and former presidential candidate.

Zogby provided respondents with basic biographical information on John Kerry, Jeff Beatty and other Republican candidates and then asked “who would you vote for?” Results in the head-to-head competition were:

First; Kerry 48 % Beatty 45% (3 point margin – error margin 4.1% = a tie) Second; Kerry 56 %, Healey 37% (19 point loss) Third; Kerry 61%, Card 29% (32 point loss) Against Jeff Beatty, the incumbent’s vote percentage plummeted below 50%--with Beatty in a virtual tie for the Senate seat, while Kerry rose significantly when pitted against the other Republican contenders. Results show that Beatty has rapidly become the front runner in the race to defeat John Kerry. The Zogby survey consisted of 41% Democrats, 20% Republicans and 38% unenrolled or independents.

The Zogby poll also documented that Beatty’s biographical information, his national and international public service, and his anti-terrorism credentials, made the difference with voters.

Jeff Beatty, who entered politics last year, has a lifetime of public service as a decorated veteran and Purple Heart recipient. He is the first person to have served with all 3 of the U.S.’s most elite anti-terrorism units: Delta Force Assault Troop Commander in the first Blackhawk shot down; Special Agent of the FBI, advising the FBI National Hostage Rescue Team; and finally, a CIA Counter-terrorism Officer with service primarily in Europe and the Middle East running successful operations against terrorists and nations hostile to the United States.

My former fiancee, who was a former (and now again) resident of Chicago, had to navigate that area from the northside to take the Greyhound down to Nashville. It was quite harrowing, to say the least.

Cabrini-Green and those other Stalinist building blocks were the perfect monuments to failed Socialist policy warehousing of the poor underclass.

Maybe we can get your gothic 14-year old granddaughter together with my 13-year old nephew from Berkeley. His pic is on my page talking to Prince Charles. Heh.

She’s as good looking as my daughter was at that age. Her life is MUSIC : choir, band, plays piano, 2 guitars; becoming well known locally as a musician. So your nephew had best be a musician too. I WARNED her about all the scum/low lifes in the music field though. At age 5 I imprinted her with hum-drum life at home, then puncuated with trips to distant places, took her to a science conference in SLC. Big mistake, wiggle wart would NOT sit still through the various presentations...

For a supposedly CATHOLIC state, that’s such a disgrace.

Sometime in the late 80’s and early 90’s the state flipped. (As did Ted Kennedy in the early 1980’s) Our 80% Democratic Legislature used to be heavily Catholic and Pro-Life, and by 1996, it became Pro-Choice, as formerly Liberal Republicans joined the Democratic Party and got elected to the Legislature. And now, public polling indicates that Pro-Abortioner’s outnumber Pro-Lifers in Massachusetts 2-1, in a state were 35-50% of the population still attends Catholic services, and where 60+% have Catholic heritage.
