Felco and I are very pleased that the dogs are getting new digs. I’m sure they have earned their new home.
Good news for the dogs of war and their handlers.
>>The new kennels were approximately a year and a half in the making and cost approximately $400,000.<<
>>The biggest addition to the new facility is the capacity to house 12 dogs.<<
That is MORE per dog than I paid for my first house in Ventura, California! $33,000+ per dog!
Progress.
Ping.
In a place like Iraq, or your average urban area, I'd rather have my dog in my room, thank you very much. After a patrol, the handlers probably smell worse than the dogs anyway.
But I bet your house couldn't stand up to mortar fire nearly so well.
