It does bear repeating. Unfortunately, the message is lost on the ghouls who would have young children see those horrific images.
It's sad.

I find these trucks to be offensive
I do too. that's why they're performing an essential service. They're reminding us all of how offensive abortion is.

But when a truck pulls up on the beach at 2:00 on a schoolday, who are they targeting? Mothers and preschoolers.
&&&&
Could you please tell me where this happened? I am very involved with the Pro-Life movement, and have never heard of targetting pre-schoolers. I agree it is not appropriate, or useful. Do preschoolers even look at billboards? Their brains do not have the index files of context yet to process these images.

>The message can still be conveyed without the gore of it all
This is simply wishful thinking. The horror and evil of it is intrinsically tied in with the gore, when you take away the gore you are removing the horror, and that’s precisely why we’re at where we are, where people can pretend the 50 million dead babies doesn’t matter, because they aren’t horrified. If people were as horrified as they ought to be, the holocaust would end tomorrow.
To: netmilsmom
No, its the rule of unintended consequences. Traumatizing five year olds who think the truck means someone coming to kill babies or traumatizing Post-abortive women can lead to bad things. Its a know fact that post abortive women have higher incidents of depression.
In cases like this, you have to weigh the pros and cons. On the con side, are a few anecdotal traumatized children and theoretical post-abort women who commit suicide after seeing the trucks (The existence of both of these groups is completely speculative. In reality, there are probably very few of the former and none of the latter).
On the pro side we have the urgent need to stop the legal slaughter of unborn children and the ability to put the happy-go-lucky "pro-choice" segment of the public on notice regarding the gruesome results of their callous attitude toward the taking of unborn life.
Really, this is a no-brainer if you ask me.

Excuse me while I pray....
Thank you Holy Father for giving me the wonderful Pro-Life, tactful parents that you gave me.
Please teach all Pro-lifers that being a good parent does not mean exposing those blessings you gave them to things before they can handle them, even if it seems right.
And God Bless the Pre-born. Amen.

Thats the only way I can explain the attitude of people who are more outraged by the fact certain pictures are displayed than they are by the horrors depicted in those pictures.

Bwahahaha!!!!
Like I said, soft, so soft metrosexuals will be the majority in a few years.
After I finished stuffing envelopes (5 year olds don’t have chores anymore?) I rode my bike to the local baseball field. Played either baseball or football (In the outfield). Gee, and sometimes I would go fishing or swimming.
Yes my childhood was stolen because I saw some aborted babies. Give me a huge break. I would rather be faced with the truth than be dazzled and blinded by lies.

Do you have any proof that these trucks actually cut the abortion rate?
If not, then they are cons.

I wonder though, what kind of name do these trucks give Pro-Choice people?
Whatever name it gives us, it is better than murderer.
To: netmilsmom
Do you find this to be offensive?

Those gory pictures do not tell the post-abortive mother that she is forgiven? All it tells her is more condemnation, judgement, shame and guilt. Sometimes it causes them to be pushed to suicide. That is NOT, IMO, where Christ wants the church to go with this.
The church is part of the fault. The church has not been there for the post-abortives except with judgement and condemnation, rather than helping them. The real call for the church is to be there for them, help them with healing, extend compassion and let them know there is mercy, grace and forgiveness. Do these graphic pictures do this?

I agree that every effort should be made to ensure that small children do not see these images and I am not aware of any groups targeting areas where children might be.

You don’t have to show those horrors to children. Children should be protected.
