'Hundreds' cancel trips, homeowner threatens to move out
Telluride: Some of the ski fans who have patronized Telluride, Colo., now are calling the ritzy resort "the land of radical liberals" and canceling planned vacations there because the town board voted to approve an ordinance calling for the impeachment of President Bush and Vice President Cheney.
One ski club of 175 people already has made plans to go elsewhere, another skier has threatened to sell his home there and another critic predicted the town soon would bow to Mecca.
"It's huge, unbelievable," said Telluride Mayor John Pryor. "Ski groups are canceling for the winter. Hundreds of people are bailing. The (town) website is flooded with people saying they're canceling their vacations here."
The storm of protest followed the town board's recent vote on the impeachment issue, according to a report in the Denver Post.

I doubt that the city council GAS but there are some scathing comments there!
I've kind of hoped for the same thing for the rest of Colorado. :)
No, never flown at Dinosaur. Sites in Colorado I've flown include Paradox, Telluride, Willow Creek near Gunnison, Silverton, and one of JZ's sites over in the University Range north of Monarch Pass, CO.
The big, record breaking flights nowadays are being done in south Texas along the dry line that sets up there every summer. The current open distance record for a Class I hang gliders is 435.3 miles, set by Manfred Ruhmer on 7-17-01 with the flight originating from Zapata, TX. Other records in most of the other classes have been set there, too.
That may be true, but if I were one of their constituents, I would be asking what impeaching the president has to do with city business. I'm on our City Council and we would NEVER waist our time (or the City employee who has to type up that stuff) on something so stupid.
I couldn't agree more. This and many other cities whose Councils are mainly made up of moonbats seem to have to make the point with the moonbats that elected them.
