If the dems and the media (pretty much the same thing, come to think of it) are already dredging up personal information to attack GOP candidates, they must not have much else.

They met at a cigar bar on East 63rd Street in Manhattan. After chatting for an hour about her work in the pharmaceutical industry, Rudy (who was married at the time)
asked for her phone number. That Rudy is one classy guy.

Rudy quickly gushed in: “I don’t discuss that in detail except to say that, you know, we love each other very much, and we have both found the person that we adore and can live with the rest of our lives.”
Bet wife #1 and wife #2 thought the same thing. Judith, honey, you’d better keep your eyes and ears open, (heck you’d better keep a PI on the payroll), cause if he’d cheat on them, he’d cheat on you.

This rose is already wilting. By the time the actual primary voting begins, Rudy’s going to be carted out on the ash-heap of Republican Primary history. To my mind, he has virtually zero chance of being nominated. Regardless of his “current standing” in the polls.

What’s the difference between Rudy and Bill?
One met his love in a cigar bar and the other got disbarred for cigar in his “love”.

Speaking of conservative family value voters...
“In September 1959, at the age of 17, Thompson married Sarah Lindsey. Their son was born in April 1960.”

OMG NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he had to marry her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can't possibly vote for him now, that never happened to anyone i have ever heard of in my life!!! /s
clue: serial adultery does not equate an shotgun wedding. i know a very well respected Baptist preacher who had to marry his wife at age 16 for that very reason. my SIL's dad as a matter of fact. stalwart Christian conservative man.

How would you like to be judged by what you did at 17 years of age? Or were you a spotless lamb? Unlike today’s “playahs” Mr. Thompson married the lady once he knew of the pregnancy. He supported her all the time they were married, as well. Wish today’s men acted the same way, don’t you agree? BTW, are you saying that Congressman Duncan Hunter has no skeletons in his closet?

Actually, without knowing the exact dates, and knowing of course that it doesn't matter one bit, it looks to me more like what used to be called 'anticipating the ceremony', rather than a shotgun wedding, even. Pregnancy tests weren't all that good in those days.

You think Fred supporters didn’t already know this? At least he did right by her instead of abandoning her. He worked hard throughout their marriage. She must not have been too angry with him when the divorce happened, because they’re still on good terms with each other.

Gee, Fred loved his girlfriend, Sarah, and they had premarital sex - let's line the bastid up and shoot him!
Did he walk away and leave her to raise a kid alone? No, he married her and raised a family and stayed married for 26 years.
