Bill, Grow a pair. If you won’t look out for yourself, don’t expect others to do it for you. My 9 year old daughter learned to shoot a .38, ya’ wuss.

I decide now's not the time to mention that children can't accidentally kill themselves by playing with seat belts How about how many children die in auto accidents or drowning in backyard pools?

I have to call B.S. on that. You know he looked at the target as soon as possible. Anyone would. Liar.

My 9 year old grandson has been firing a .357 S&W for a couple of years now. I got my daughter a Taurus .38SP. last year when her husband was in Iraq and both she and my granddaughter (12 at the time) shot very well with it. What a total wuss this Zuck must be.

She should substitute an "S" for the "Z" in her last name.
Oh, wait ... the author's a guy.
Supposedly.
Feh ...
My cute little 6yo niece is more manly.

"This here's the easiest to start with. It's got less kick so it's easier to control." Into my hand he plops a Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum revolver. I'm calling BS on this panties-pi$$ing hoplophobic drama queen. I can't believe that anybody's going to make those claims about a .357 Magnum to a newbie shooter.

Having completed my eight-second firearm tutorial,...Ever notice how every anti-gun article states this same "No instructions given" mantra? I would love to be there when it actually happened.
Every range I have ever been to that rents guns gives a pretty good Q&A to shooters before letting them on the line.
Where I am an RO we do not rent but we keep a good eye on shooters we have not seen before as they unpack and prepare to shoot. It gives a pretty good indication of the skill level of the shooter. When we see a 'newbie' we keep a close eye on them and offer all the help they can handle.

"Hey, wake up."
"Wha-- Who are you? What are you doing in my bedroom?"
"I'm an intruder. I'm here to kill you with your own gun, but I can't find it. Do you have it hidden or something? Just draw it, would you, and I'll snatch it out of your hand."
"I don't have a gun."
"Are you serious? Rats. Well, I guess I'll be going then. Sorry about the door."
