War stinks, apparently even behind the lines.
That's the gist of a military e-mail concerning restroom problems at U.S. Central Command at MacDill Air Force Base uncovered by the Tampa Tribune. The bottom line: A small restroom facility near the command's Joint Intelligence Center doesn't have adequate ventilation, resulting in - as Navy Capt. Samuel J. Cox put it - "malodorous working conditions."
Cox posted written orders directing workers to take their serious bathroom business to more capable facilities unless it was an emergency. When the signs were removed, Cox pointed out in a lighthearted e-mail that ignoring the directive technically violated the Uniform Code of Military Justice. As for civilian contractors, Cox wrote, "I can make you wish you'd gone down the hall to the big bathrooms to do your business."

Sounds like an inadequate buffer zone.
Just make it “For Officers Only”, cause they think their S#!7 don’t stink!...........
Tried to find the article on the Tampa Tribune, but could not. Should be noted that the title of the article is now
“U.S. Central Command captain battles bathroom stink” on the Herald Tribune site...
Internet search shows the article with a pile of similar titles. I guess they are testing them all out? LOL
At least it isn’t a problem of people washing their feet in the sinks.
This Navy captain obviously has never been on diesel submarine...they aren’t called “pig boats” for no reason.
“serious bathroom business?”.....It’s always serious!
Diesel fumes and butt methane....A lethal mixture for sure!...Nowhere to run to, nowhere to hide!
My husband was on the Fast Attack USS Greeneville.
The specific odor that is found on a submarine cannot be described, nor forgotten. I’m so glad that is over with.
I literally laughed out loud when I got to the “serious bathroom business” part of the story.
Yup, no amount of Old Spice or Air Wick would EVER cure the odors emanating from a submarine...especially foul is the watch when sanitary tanks are blown to sea. A submarine (especially a diesel boat) is the foulest, male locker-room and men's head stink imaginable, but I loved every minute of being one of the crew. I do not know how a woman could stand it; however I am certain that the Hildabeaste will find some way to ensure that they get a chance to when she takes the oath of office (God forbid). I just hope they fast tire of male flatulence, are offended by the naked male bodies they're sure to see, and opt to non-qual.
Wow! Shouldn’t this be at the top of breaking news?

For a minute there, I thought this was another one of those foot washing threads.

With all the stuuf they should be paying attention to, this is news?!?!
America worries about stinking bathrooms while ME men run around with pipe bombs in their trunks. Beam me up Scotty and don’t send me back!
