This Navy captain obviously has never been on diesel submarine...they aren’t called “pig boats” for no reason.
Diesel fumes and butt methane....A lethal mixture for sure!...Nowhere to run to, nowhere to hide!
My husband was on the Fast Attack USS Greeneville.
The specific odor that is found on a submarine cannot be described, nor forgotten. I’m so glad that is over with.
