QVC Elvis Tribute Thursday 16th @ 12pm and 6pm...all times ET
For Race Fans Only with Jr starts at 8pm for two hours. Jr is usually on the second hour.
NASCAR's four-time Most Popular Driver and lifelong Elvis fan, Dale Earnhardt Jr., will rev up the 30th Anniversary Elvis Week event by hosting the first night of the Elvis Music & Movies series with Viva Las Vegas on the front lawn of Graceland on Monday, Aug. 13.
And yes, that includes the deep South.
A cat died and went to Heaven. God met her at the gates and said, “You have been a good cat all these years. Anything you want is yours for the asking.”
The cat thought for a minute and then said, “All my life I lived on a farm and slept on hard wooden floors. I would like a real fluffy pillow to sleep on.”
God said, “Say no more.” Instantly the cat had a huge fluffy pillow.
A few days later, six mice were killed in an accident and they all went to Heaven together. God met the mice at the gates with the same offer that He made to the cat.
The mice said, “Well, we have had to run all of our lives: from cats, dogs, and even people with brooms! If we could just have some little roller skates, we would not have to run again.”
God answered, “It is done.” All the mice had beautiful little roller skates.
About a week later, God decided to check on the cat. He found her sound asleep on her fluffy pillow. God gently awakened the cat and asked, “Is everything okay? How have you been doing? Are you happy?”
The cat replied, “Oh, it is WONDERFUL. I have never been so happy in my life. The pillow is so fluffy, and those little Meals on Wheels you have been sending over are delicious!”
Smoke’s thoughts on Happy and Pablo yesterday.
“I hear they still had the Hans and helmets on ... If you’re not going to take ‘em off then don’t waste everyone’s time,” Stewart said.”
LOL
Thankfully he let the fish go. :) Happy ending.
At least he’s got a lot of water to drink to get rid of the jalapeno.
Well off to do errands.
I’ve seen shelled corn work for catfish, but I don’t even know what a snook is. :)
Snook is great. A slot snook min is exactly a redfish max, at least in FL. They are the monsters of the shallow water mangrove fringe. Love to dive to any root or twig to break you off. Then when you do get them free of the finge without a break off they attack the Powerpole, motor, push pool, etc. Some times they will nod off on a flat or the edge of a sand back and refuse to eat. I’ve tossed everything in the tackle box at more than one 3-4 footer on nap-time. No teeth and a huge mouth. when they do eat they inhale the bait, not untypically on or near the surface. Darnest things but delicious.

Sounds like me!
I agree, it wasn’t like Stepford drivers this week, a little incident here or there can’t hurt as the races have been fairly boring. I was about to turn it off when Jr blew up, but started dinner and then I saw this happening and it grabbed my attention. Otherwise there would have been a huge sucking sound as the Earnhardt Nation tuned out.
Happy was quick to get angry with Pablo because of his prior racing incidents. It appears from what Jeff Burton said on NN that Montoya was starting in first gear making his car slower than the others, he tried to block Truex who was trying to gain the inside position and the rest we saw.
I like Harvick, for some reason he can speak his mind but not come off looking like a jerk. I hate hotheads and jerks but he has a way about him. It could be the Nascar 360 shows he and DeLana did. Somehow if you see the off track side of a guy he appears as a complete person not just the racer. He’s a real practical joker and has made a great business for himself with KHI racing with DeLana doing a lot of the work.
As for Pablo he comes off as a jerk just by some of the comments on his radio, arguing with his CC about pitting and stuff, plus his antics on the track.
No penalties will be assessed for Harvicks A$$ comment, only the S$$$$ word is a penalty.
RC is a real hands on guy and I like him for that as well. I also love him always being there for his drivers/crew etc. unlike someone else I know.
I also agree on the road races, Watkins Glen is much better than Sonoma and I wouldn’t mind Montreal in the mix as that was one beautiful venue for racing.
Speaking of the Earnhardt Nation, a lot of red is beginning to show up at Graceland.
On August 18th Dale Jr will be at the Lake Erie Speedway. Kenny Wallace and Kenny Schrader and two other Cup drivers(yet to be determined) will also be there. The drivers will arrive by 6:30 PM to do a press conference, private meet and greets, autograph sessions for the fans, and take part in two 10 lab races with Jr as the flagman for both races. There will be a guaranteed 60 minute autograph session in the main concourse area for each Cup driver. Tickets are $40.00 at the Speedway the day of event.
