I’ve seen shelled corn work for catfish, but I don’t even know what a snook is. :)

Snook is great. A slot snook min is exactly a redfish max, at least in FL. They are the monsters of the shallow water mangrove fringe. Love to dive to any root or twig to break you off. Then when you do get them free of the finge without a break off they attack the Powerpole, motor, push pool, etc. Some times they will nod off on a flat or the edge of a sand back and refuse to eat. I’ve tossed everything in the tackle box at more than one 3-4 footer on nap-time. No teeth and a huge mouth. when they do eat they inhale the bait, not untypically on or near the surface. Darnest things but delicious.
