There's one vote that Rudy Giuliani definitely can't count on in his 2008 presidential bid: his own daughter's. According to Caroline Giuliani's Facebook profile, she's supporting Barack Obama..........Rudy and his two children, have a rocky relationship. After his third wedding, Giuliani stopped attending Caroline's high-school events..... he went to her graduation (after declaring his candidacy for president), and left without speaking to her and did not join in the family celebration, according to news reports.

Of course, Donna Hanover had no problem being "paraded around NYC" by Giuliani when she was his mistress while he was married to his first wife.

Per Wiki

Giuliani has been married three times. On October 26, 1968, soon after he graduated from law school, he married his second cousin, educator Regina Peruggi, whom Giuliani had known since childhood. In the mid-70s the marriage was in trouble and in 1975 they agreed to a trial separation.[112] Peruggi did not accompany him to Washington when he accepted the job in the Attorney General's Office.[113] Giuliani met local television personality Donna Hanover sometime in 1982, and they began dating when she was working in Miami.[114] Giuliani filed for legal separation from Peruggi on August 12, 1982.[112] Giuliani and Hanover started living together later that year in Washington, D.C.[114] The Giuliani-Peruggi marriage was ended in two ways: a civil divorce was issued by the end of 1982,[115] while a Roman Catholic Church annulment of the Giuliani-Peruggi marriage was granted at the end of 1983[112], according to Giuliani, because he discovered after 14 years of marriage that he and his wife were second cousins,[116] rather than third cousins,[113] and they did not have the Church dispensation thus needed.[117] Giuliani and Peruggi did not have any children.
So the end of the first marriage occurred before Rudi came to NY, and when he met Hanover he was already separated from Wife 1 for around 7 years

I lived in nyc during Rudy’s entire tenure as mayor and the liberals at the time were very concerned about a police state. Those fears didn’t materialize then, nor will they now.

Drama queens.

My Daughter didn’t like me remarrying and treated my Wife poorly. We still maintain a relationship, but it is not ideal. Divorce is hard, and of course Rudy could have handled it better.
Having been through a divorce, I can say that even if you act with perfection, there will be some problems.
For those of you that say divorce is wrong. You were not married to my EX!

you know, personally, I wouldnt marry any woman in which her name and cousin could be uttered in the same sentence and in reference to the other...

as in,”Hi, meet my wife and (second)third cousin ______, we’re happy to be here.”

Then I think your point isn;t very meaningful, since the behavior of one spouse isn’t the only cause of another spouse growing loathsome. In fact, I don’t even think it’s the main cause. It may not even be a top cause,.

Oh, I think I could, if I wanted to...

Here's how Rooty dumped his wife and mother of his children for Judi, the "homespun girl next door:"

With Judi waiting in the wings, public records show then-Mayor Rudy actually called a press conference to publicly announce his separation from his second wife EXCEPT THAT HE HAD NOT BOTHERED TO TELL HIS WIFE AND CHILDREN BEFOREHAND THAT HE WAS DUMPING THEM FOR JUDI.

Public records show Rudy publicly announced to the press his separation from his wife who had no inkling Rudy was dumping her and his children out into the streets.

At that time, Rudy, the married father of two children, was taking Judi, his mistress, to cancer treatment sessions. He never bothered to tell his wife about his illness, and probably his children did not know, either.

Finally, Rudy, then married and the father of two, decided he could not live without Judi closeby; Rudy connived to bring Judi into the Mayoral home (on the spurious claim that Hanover wasn't helping him through cancer treatments---an illness he had not even bothered to tell his wife about).

In a callous, vindictive move even for a visceral liberal, public records show Rudy publicly announced he wanted to "divide the mayoral mansion" in two----one side for his wife AND one side for Judi---which was nothing but a transparent ploy to force his wife and children out into the streets.

Public documents indicate Hanover was forced to go to court to declare Gracie Mansion a "marital home" so as to exclude Judi. The judge acquiesced to Hanover's plea.

Thwarted but not defeated, Rudy moved in with a happily civil-unioned gay couple while his wife fended off Rudy's relentless efforts to ditch her and their two children.

On Mother's day 2000, married Rudy, the father of two children, publicly paraded Judi up and down Second Avenue for newspaper pictures, pics his children could not fail to see.

The evilness of a father's betrayal of his own wife and children astonished even blasé New Yorkers.

Giuliani's vendetta against his wife and children was still not sated.

Public documents indicate Rudy cut the security detail to his wife and the mother of his children, thus endangering her......but Rudy did provide government security to Judi who had no official duties (unless you consider getting Rudy sexually blitzed an "official duty".)

Donna Hanover was a loathsome woman who embarrassed Rudy often during his tenure as mayor. I don’t blame him one bit for dumping her - I would have done the same.

I’ve heard that as well....doesn’t that speak to Rudy’s judgement? I mean, after all, he did marry her, remember?

I disagree. It may be a factor among many, but not the most important one.

People change, you know. I know several outwardly pleasant people who changed for the worse in mid-life.

Do you know any?

Whether the parent's bad or good, there something malicious about a kid who loudly announces voting for someone other than his/her parents.

Go ahead and quietly vote however...but don’t uninate on dad in public.

Just the kind of guy you want in the White House, isn’t it?

I'd bet Ron Reagan Jr. and Patti Davis didn't vote for their father either time he ran. So what?

Hmmmm. Never really thought about it.....nope, none come to mind. Then again, when people change for ‘the worst’ I usually don’t stick around.

Rudy is a terrible father, husband, and family man. It is no secret. He makes Bill Clinton look like a good husband. I wouldn’t vote for him either if I was his kid.
