There's one vote that Rudy Giuliani definitely can't count on in his 2008 presidential bid: his own daughter's. According to Caroline Giuliani's Facebook profile, she's supporting Barack Obama..........Rudy and his two children, have a rocky relationship. After his third wedding, Giuliani stopped attending Caroline's high-school events..... he went to her graduation (after declaring his candidacy for president), and left without speaking to her and did not join in the family celebration, according to news reports.

Dude, Rudy wins the nod - we’ve already lost. Ain’t no getting around it. It’ll prove the Democrats right that Republicans just want a perpetual police state,a nd will sacrifice anything to get it. In which case, I’m outta this party - With Rudy at the helm, I’ll actually be IN the crowds protesting.......

Even if she was, you can’t fault a man for dumping a loathsome, inferior spouse, in favor of a superior, more compatible one (in his judgment).

HE can WIN!!!!!!!!

Wonderful!

I am so confident that I am going to demand the "time off to vote" that we have here in Kalifornia and sleep in all day.

I think you’re really overstating things. I’d rather lose by Rudy winning than lose by Hilly or Obama winning.

Check out the detail on her Face book site...

She’s interested in guys for “random play” etc., which according to my gilfriend means she’s “EASY” in the biblical sense.

Jeeeeeez...she takes after both her parents.

You’re just mad because you know guys like Michael Medved are right and Rudy will, in one election, single-handedly redraw the electoral map as we know it, putting all 50 states into play for the GOP.

In defense of Rudy, I think that his second-wife and the mother of his children was a poor role model as far as political wives go. It was all-about-her in any interview she had while he was mayor. Her job, her maiden name, her needs, etc., etc., etc. She competed with him for the limelight rather than supported him and that behavior ultimately became a distraction in his job and undermined their marriage. During his inauguration his son stood in front of the podium and aped his father's speech while the mother stood there and laughed. The kid appeared severely ADD and probably should not have been at the event to begin with or in the hand-held companionship of another family member. This was a poor reflection on her "performance" as a mom. Her need for attention was accentuated during her acting stint in the Vagina Monologues. Given what I saw of her on tv, I can imagine that telling her he was leaving her on tv was the only way to get the message across. The fact that the kids don't want anything to do with him is totally understandable given the actions of both parents and the hatred that the mother probably feels. But was it love with her or just her ego? Was she really willing to sacrifice anything for him or was his career a Clintonesque career booster for her?

I don't respect that he left her for another woman--and afterall, did he leave wife #1 for witch #2? But in comparison with the Clinton's, everything becomes relative and his marriage to wife #3 can't be any more of a sham than Billary.

My point I was trying to make got lost so I’ll try again.

If she wasn’t beore, then did he turn her into a vindictive loathesome woman?

He wasn't a prez candidate when his son graduated.

Big Difference.

Last March, Andrew publicly exposed a deep rift over Judy, outing her as an overbearing shrew who orders Rooty to stay away from his kids.

At the time, a huge 88% of those polled had a problem with Rooty not attending Andrew's graduation.

Well, then you are overstating Rudy’s merits. Ain’t a lick of difference other than what kind of police state we’ll live in.

I wonder about the psychological stability of the son. It could be that his father’s presence might have pushed him over-the-top and he would have created a scene. Given how vulnerable those kids are, particularly the son, I resent the willingness of the press to pursue him and his opinions, etc. The consequences of the attention might be serious.

...and Ron Reagan Jr did not support his dad, nor did Maureen Reagan during her father’s Presidency...

What? Maureen Reagan most certainly did support and campaign for her father. It was Patti Davis who didn't support her father's candidacy and presidency.

Then I think your point isn;t very meaningful, since the behavior of one spouse isn’t the only cause of another spouse growing loathsome. In fact, I don’t even think it’s the main cause. It may not even be a top cause,.

Wonder if she would have gotten into Harvard without the benefit of her last name, a gift from her father, the guy she won’t support for President? Wonder if he’s the same guy who signed checks for Trinity School ‘07 and Harvard ‘11?
