Trutheriness and Ron Paul (Michelle Malkin) [Ron Paul Says The Darnedest Things!]
Michelle Malkin ^ | May 19, 2007 | Michelle Malkin

CALLER: I want a complete, impartial, and totally independent investigation of the events of September 11, 2001 . I’m tired of this bogus garbage about terrorism. Ask Michael Meacher about how he feels about this bogus war on terrorism. Can you comment on that please?

HON. DR. RON PAUL: Well, that would be nice to have. Unfortunately, we don’t have that in place. IT WILL BE A LITTLE BIT BETTER NOW WITH THE DEMOCRATS NOW IN CHARGE OF OVERSIGHT. But you know, for top level policy there’s not a whole lot of difference between the two policies so a real investigation isn’t going to happen. But I think we have to keep pushing for it. And like you and others, we see the investigations that have been done so far as more or less cover-up and no real explanation of what went on.

Which would really be a change for us.

I sense that you are being facetious. Bush doesn't need an interpreter. He rarely misspeaks. His meaning is clear when he actually lets us in on what he is thinking.

"I must be undercaffeinated. I have no clue what you’re talking about. Cryptic does not equal interesting. Sometimes more is better."

Check it out . . . You asked a question in your post #303 and I answered it directly in my post #308. It's not done often, I know. Don't disparage because you're confused.

If your post had anything to do with my question, it’d be considered an answer.

Okay then...then tell me why I’m wrong? I may be a “shouter” but I provided a fact-based response e.g. a clear and specific denial by Paul. The burden is now on you to do the same.

Uses it to his advantage, I’m guessing. Any politician would be stupid not to take votes where he finds them.

Please don’t make me find that list of Bush misstatements.

“Putting food on your family” comes to mind.

There are many more.

Okay then...then tell me why I’m wrong?

Like a politician never did an about-face to try to save his ass? I'm not stating that I know for sure that he's a truther, but he sure has been giving a lot of signs. Just because he issued a denial doesn't put the issue to bed once and for all, as you claimed.

Kinda like "I did not have sexual relations with that woman..."

I may be a “shouter” but I provided a fact-based response e.g. a clear and specific denial by Paul. The burden is now on you to do the same.

True, you gave a fact. But there's the concept of what speaks louder, a person's words or actions? He says he doesn't believe in it, but he does all kinds of things which indicate that he may support it after all. I've been providing facts all over this thread, which have largely been ignored or dismissed. This line of reasoning is similar to who are you going to believe, me or your lyin' eyes?

It does, but admittedly this doesn't.

Take a free shot.. I've got to go for now.

Hey, totally off-topic: the collection of symbols you have for a tagline looks a powerful lot like Homer Simpson to me. Is that what it is?

If so, D’OH! :)

Thanks, I appreciate the candor, although I don’t really agree with your assessment of it. At least this will put Dr. Paul in his place as just another politician who will say anything he has to in order to get votes.

We who support Dr. Paul are indeed moonbats. And Paulistinians, Paulnuts, St. Pauli Girls, and whatever other stupidity they can think of to incorporate “Paul” into.

The lack of originality in some of these insults is surprising coming from this site.

Originality in insults gets you a ping to the mod and a zot.

.....I will tire of it when paul apologizes to America for blaming her for 9-11

You lie. No other way to put it. And you lie even after you have been shown clearly that you are lying. Ron Paul did NOT "blame America for 9/11" and it is a stupid, vicious lie to claim that anything he said in the debates does so. I am getting fed up with single digit IQ dunderheads who are so bereft of the ability to simply parse out a plain english sentence that they turn a clear documented truth (actions do have consequences, and the middle east is no exception) into some mewling "it is all our fault" attempt to "blame America." It is NOT what he said, and you people have heard tons of people, from Ron Paul supporters to the NRO (which is NOT a Paul supporter) explain to you in painstaking detail why it is not so. Yet you continue to prance around like some retard version of Archimedes, dripping wet and shrieking "EUREKA" as though you have just discovered an irrefutable axiom.

I once saw a brain damaged chimp in the zoo that behaved in the same manner, endlessly fascinated by the rubber band he stretched, captivated by the fact that it continually returned to its original shape. So it is with the "blame America first" paulietroll caterwaulers. No matter how many times or by how many people or how clearly it is explained to them they insist on howling at the moon like some deranged inbred cur and spitting out the slobber just long enough to intone "Ron Paul says 9/11 is our fault!"

I swear I don't see how they can manage to remember their passwords to log in.

This is pretty tame compared to some of the insults I have seen hurled at Ron Paul supporters, but it got me zotted for a week (although interestingly enough, the post remained). I think paulietrolls are fairly thin skinned, personally.

The irony in that post is probably lost on you.

You are most incorrect. The constant reference to Jim Jones and the Guyana tragedy is one of those abhorrent things brought up on every Ron Paul thread. Drawing a comparison between supporters of Ron Paul and the deceased followers of Jim Jones is not only awful, it is reprehensible.

there's the concept of what speaks louder, a person's words or actions?

Exactly! Hence, Paul voted to authorize the attack Al Qaeda in Afghanistan. In addition, he has repeatedly called for Letters of Marque to go after Bin Laden. That's pretty strange behavior from someone who you(apparently????) believe thinks Al Qaeda is an innocent bystander.

So what do we have here. Paul has issued a blanket and crystal clear statement that the Truther view is wrong plus he has repeatedly called for action to attack Al Qaeda (who the Truthers think was innocent) in retaliation for 9-11. What more do you need?

I realize the Homeland Security legislation that created the Department of Homeland Security was meant to address the problems in the cooperation between intelligence gathering agencies. But such an across the board failure in job performance should have resulted in the elimination of the CIA and FBI as we know it and resignations from here to kingdom come. But I will go and read more about it as you admonish. Thank you for your commentary on this.

Heh, I knew you were a FR n00b when I read that post, before I even checked your signup date. I guess you learned the hard way not to cross the Zot Squad, eh? :) I've still managed to fly low under their radar, but I have taken some flak.

Sorry you got zotted, but at least it wasn't a permaban. BTW, good tagline, is that your own creation?

What a lot of people want, that includes these “bad truthers”, is a true independent investigation into what happened and who was responsible.

Precisely so, rineaux.
