Goose Creek - Two men are being held in the Berkeley County Detention Center after police find explosive making devices in their car. There are conflicting reports as to the quantity of explosive making materials in that vehicle.
FBI (website) reports are saying that there is not believed to be a link to terrorism. The men 21-year-old Yousef Megahed and 24-year-old Ahmed Mohamed (seen in the video attachment) were pulled over Saturday evening during a routine traffic stop near Myers Road and Highway 176. Among the explosive devices found were igniters and fusers.
Few details about the suspects are known at this time. They are believed to be students at a Florida college. They are of Middle Eastern descent and are not US citizens. Neither man has been charged, but charges are expected Monday.
A press conference will be held in Berkeley County on Monday morning. Among the potential charges is possession of unlawful explosives.
Officials are not at this time releasing any additional information. Highway 176 in Goose Creek was shut down and has since reopened. Stay tuned to ABC News 4 and www.abcnews4.comfor details as they become available.
Supposedly they were college students. If they went to a Tampa college...say USF...where a certain professor (Sami Al-Aryan) was deported because of his links to terrorism, that would be interesting.
Spontaneous jihad syndrome...
Somebody at the FBI overdosed on diversity training..
I do not know this (what I typed) but what else can the FBI do? I know, tell the truth. But if the truth is told, someone or someones could be tipped, if those someone haven't already been tipped, and they probably have been tipped simply because the story made the news.
I hope and pray the FBI has others under surveillance by now, after these two names have been released. It is now known, for a fact, these people were Middle Eastern, and quite possibly something is in the wind.

I stand with you, bro. Let the FBI, CIA, whoever come at us. I'm so tired of being sold out to the terrorists.
I voted twice for GWB. Why, I don't know.
I suppose we will just be collateral damage in the big picture, whatever that is.

Nothing but schoolwork on it right?
Don’t all college students carry these things?
Millions of parents across the country are going to retailers to purchase ingiters and fusers for their kids who are heading off to college.
Picking out the correct backpack, dorm vs apartment, and which type of igniters and fusers to buy. Tough back to school decisions for many to make in the next few days.
My definition may be a little extreme.
However, when you consider the fact that some of the Gitmo combatants have been let go and sent to back to their respective countries, only to be captured or killed on the battle field. The letting them go approach does not seem to work. Whats great is, we use the approach everyday with illegal immigrants coming into this country and being banned from coming back, only to have them back here within a few weeks. So sending them back and expecting them to never come back is not a good solution either. Besides, the ACLU would be all over this.
We're on our own. They don't give a damn about us.
Here’s what bugs me about the FBI always jumping on the “no terrorism” message.
We are told, as a citizenry, to be on the lookout. That an attack may be imminent, that certain infrastructure are targets...then when something that seems so obviously related to terrorism (as this incident does) occurs, they tell us it isn’t related to terrorism.
It’s like the FBI has become the “boy who cried wolf.” Watch out for terrorism, watch out for terrorism...oh we were just kidding, these guys with explosives who are of ME descent have nothing to do with terrorism.
I think it creates a false sense of security when they downplay things like this. (the guys were near a Naval Installation, it’s not like they were riding around in the boondocks.)
Thank you, for standing with me. Let us not get hit, Lord.
I would just rather they would say, “hey, we can’t talk about an ongoing investigation.”

Tampa address? The only reports 970 WFLA has had are the FOX news updates they don’t even mention they’re from the Middle East.
Where is Janet Reno when we need her?
I can't say what I want to so I'll just agree with your post and sigh.
