Re-run of todays debate on C-Span now!
lol
When I had her again for 20th Century World History she told us that Ronald Reagan had Alzheimer's when he entered the White House and was never in his right mind. She told us that the only thing we need to remember about Ronald Reagan is that he raised the National Dept soo high that our grandchildren will be paying it off. She asked us to make a list of who our modern day enemies were, she said if we wrote down GWB we got extra credit. She also talked about how she used to spit on soldiers during Vietnam.
However I will say one good thing about her, she did do a good job talking about Al Quida pre-9/11. She told us in late 2000 that Al Quida is the biggest threat facing this nation. She said this enemy is dangerous because they actually want to die for their beliefs. I wonder if she still believes that now...
Needless to say after having her for two semesters in High School I decided her political ideology was just nuts. So I vowed never to vote Democrat.
“..she did do a good job talking about Al Quida pre-9/11. She told us in late 2000 that Al Quida is the biggest threat facing this nation. She said this enemy is dangerous because they actually want to die for their beliefs. “
Well, I give her kudos for that, especially since it was before 9/11.
But she was hateful about Ronald Reagan, the best president in modern times.
When one of my extremely liberal co-workers said during the Clintoon administation that Reagan had Alz. while president, I said well maybe we need another president with Alz. so things won’t be so bad.
Maybe I shouldn’t have even kiddingly said that about President Reagan, but it was the first thing that came to mind.
And congratulations to you for being a conservative at a young age. I did see the truth in my early 20’s, but it sounds like you got it in high school.
Our tax dollars at work, FRiends. Few private schools would be so overt with teacher politics.
Glad you made it across, Dawg.
For those interested in the most conservative candidate, Duncan Hunter, there’s a link about his part of the debate here:

This was a valuable opportunity to see and hear the candidates. Thompson went down in my estimation for taking the option of nuking of Mecca and Medina off the table. Every time Paul said neocon, I said fruitcake. McCain, Brownback, and Huckabee did not come up at all in my estimation, and my expectations were low. Romney and Hunter were good, but no better than expected. Tancredo and Giuliani went up in my estimation. Romney and Giuliani deserve special credit fot sticking up for President Bush and Vice President Cheney. They never refused to take Stephie’s bait to bash the current administration or its policies. Romney, Giuliani, and Hunter seem pretty solid, and immune to the pressures of the liberal press and other socialists.
I told my mom a few years after I graduated about what the teacher was telling us. Mom said if she would have known she would have called and complained.
I can remember being in the first grade during Gulf War 1, and my teachers at that time told us that the war was being fought because Saddam Hussien was a bad man with oil, and the USA wanted that oil. And I believed that till right before the start of this current Gulf War. All the other teachers I had would spew the same thing when learning about the first Gulf War, so I didn’t know any different.
Also I had another high school government teacher during the Clinton war against the Serbs. He would trumpet at how well Clinton was handling this conflict with Impeachment breathing down his neck. He would talk about how evil Melosavich is, about all his mass graves ect.
However when that same teacher taught Gulf War 1, he gave us the same line about “war for oil”.
>The howling, wolf-whistling, and cheering for Ron Paul tells you anything you need to know about his setup.<
Yep. The Log Cabin Reps were there in all their glory.
Your teachers are a good reason for school vouchers!
Somebody told me that there will be another replay on C-span at 9:30.
Tancredo made a big point about his belief in Jesus Christ.
No need to be a slave to C-span’s or ABC’s scheduling. You can catch the entire debate on youtube. Here are all nine parts:

When teachers talk the way yours did, it is called “education.” If a teacher ever spoke against the democrat position, it would be called “propaganda,” “unprofessional” and “unacceptable in the classroom.” Therefore students get a one way indoctrination for 12 years. Let us hope that more of them are as crazy as yours was, and so make their students search for the opposite view.
Yep....I’m watching it on C-Span now!
What a great comment.
Thanks for the links.
Save for later
On the rerun— there is no doubt that Paul won. I was for Rudy but there is nothing but air in him. Paul is a leader. He is not restrained by convention. He has won every poll and I now know why.
