Wonder when Fred will throw his hat in the ring, after all the debates? Kind of unfair to the rest of the bunch.

The current word is early September, which is a more traditional start-date for a Presidential campaign anyway. As for the debates, here's a schedule...

* May 3, 2007 - Simi Valley, California
* May 15, 2007 - Columbia, South Carolina
* June 5, 2007 - Manchester, New Hampshire
* June 30, 2007 - Des Moines, Iowa
* August 5, 2007 - Des Moines, Iowa
* August 20, 2007 - Reno, Nevada
* September 17, 2007 - Saint Petersburg, Florida
* September 27, 2007 - Hanover, New Hampshire
* October 14, 2007 - Manchester, New Hampshire
* October 21, 2007 - Orlando, Florida
* November 6, 2007 - Ames, Iowa
* January 5, 2008 - Johnson County, Iowa
* January 30, 2008 - Los Angeles, California

Highlighted dates are after early September. They represent more than half of the debates.

I guess you can say the early debates are like the NFL preseason, like the Hall of Fame game tonight. You don't play your starting quarterback much during the preseason.

Why does Fred have to be fair to the rest of the candidates? This isn't a kindergarten game of Red Rover, this is a campaign. It may not be 'fair' that Thompson is getting more airtime than the others and it may not be fair that he is surging ahead of everyone in the polls without spending a dime.... but it is a strategic move.. seems to me it is smart..

You don't get 'participation trophies' in a campaign, it is win or lose.

“Fred wakes up from his nap on September 5th... then ?”

Does he start his winter hibernation on November 5th?

He’s the darling of old school traditional Republicans. Real conservatives. Limited government, states rights, free enterprise, and a non interventionist foreign policy.

1980 Republicans: Government isn’t the solution, government is the problem.

2007 Republicans: When people hurt, government must act.

Thanks for the updates on the debates.

I’ll go ahead and eat my words with “unfair” considering there is more than a handful of debates to go.

I have to conclude that deep down the Freeper Fringers REALLY want Hillary to win and the Democrats to control Congress after 2008.

It is the only logical conclusion one can draw by looking at their pertinent whinny self destructive behavior.

See if the Dems win, all the Dincons will have to do for the next 8 years is sit around and whine endlessly about everything political. They will not actually have to get off their lazy butts and actually do the hard work of educating on Conservative values and standing for things.

No, instead they can sit around and whine about everything while mindlessly patting each other on the back about how doctrinally pure they are and how stupid everyone else is for not listening to their political “genius”

/p>

That is why they spend ALL their time sniping their own side in the back. They don't want to be in the majority where they can actually get things done. They just want the excuse to sit around and bitch and whine about everything.

Sorry but the future of this country is way more important then the Perpetually Pouting Dinocon choir getting the chance to spend the next 8 years gratifying their over developed egos.

He’s not my “darling.” He is madder than a March hare. Paul blames the US for the 9/11 attacks and those that went on before. He is a Libertarian, not a Republican.

You don't need to eat "unfair". It is unfair, but that unfairness if of the current candidates' doing.

If they want to bandy soundbites and field "gotcha" questions from Clinton's policy advisor 5 months before the Iowa Caucus, that's their own fault.

“Fred enters September 5th”

We’ve heard this song and dance before. Remember this little number?

“Fred will enter July 4th” “Fred will enter late July” “Fred will enter August”

I’m afraid a lot of Freepers heads will explode if they hear “Fred decides not to run after all”

Obviously people are spamming for Ron Paul. He has more than 50% of the votes!

Definitely not a scientific poll...

The cameras panned to the audience after Ron Paul stated his cut and walk away position with “illegal war”
thrown into the mix.

It was a small part of the crowd that applauded with very few in the center section applauding his line.

Ron Paul loses me on that position, he is apparently ignorant of Al Quida’s presence in Iraq and championing DUmmy talking points does not win points with me at all.
