Guns scare me.
That is their intended purpose......
Me too. Guns are scary. They are LOUD and put holes in things and people and really scare me if pointed at me. That's why we train to handle them properly and hit what we shoot at.
(By your name I figure this is along the lines of what you meant.)
M1 Garands scare me.
As well they should. Indeed, that is one of their secondary uses: to scare people. It is, of course, a use that can be enlisted both for good and for evil. And when things work right a use that can sometimes suffice to help avoid their primary use.
I trust, that you were being ironic, though, and making the same point under the cover of dry wit. (Still for the sort of folks Rush holds live in Rio Linda, we do want to spell things out, don't we?)
It’s the bullets you should be afraid of.
A legitimate question: WHY?
Guns scare me.
Maybe you just need to spend more time with them, get to know them as it were.
Actually guns scare me too, the wrong end of them pointed in my direction. A bad move on anyone’s part friend or foe.
My best to you.
tet.
What about your shadow? Does it scare you too? Maybe a teacup? or a spoon?
Honestly... have you ever really looked at a rock? Do they scare you?
In truth, yes. And well they should. Guns are like fire---dangerous when un-controlled, but darned useful in the right time and place.
...weinie...
;o)
Me, too. But not as much as these two evil perps.
Also, I have a friend who once was repeatedly knifed and brutalized to the point of death by a stranger one afternoon in her own home.
She had a gun, but couldn't get to it. And didn't try, as she believed he would have disarmed her and used the gun on her.
As it was she played dead, and barely escaped with her life, spending over a month in ICU.
It was summer and she only had a screen door between her and the perp.
An argument for airconditioning and bolts.
Guns aren't always the answer, but there are times when nothing else can make a difference.
My elderly aunt once scared off three men trying to break in with her gun, and my sister-in-law scared off a coke head who shattered her livingroom picture window and stepped into the house by grabbing a loaded shotgun. Both are trained in firearms, and that training and their guns came in handy.
I sold all of my guns and took a course in passive agressive debate ...........I feel so much better.
“Guns scare me.”
Guns scare anyone with any sense. That is why you get training on and with them, so you know what they can and cannot do, and what you can and cannot do with them. They are not a magic wand. You cannot wave one and make everything right. You can stop someone from harming you or your family, however, if you have one, know how to use it, and do use it.
All the which I hope you already knew, but just in case...
Good thing you have a viscous dog, scary kitties and a mean midget to protect you.
Big dump trucks full of gravel going 70 mph scare me, but I try not to pull out in front of them or keep them behind me when I drive.
Driving at 75mph in eight lane traffic scares me, but I drive really carefully.
Using my radial arm saw or my table saw can be dangerous, but I read and follow all safety directions and use guards and featherboards.
Guns are easy to use safely as long as you know and follow the safety rules. Like all other tools, they are sometimes just right for the job. Know how to use any tool safely and effectively, and there is no reason for fear.
Me too, especially I end up on the wrong end of it!! That's why I have several and I constantly practise, practise and more practise.
BOO! :) :) :)
