Duncan Hunter's law, "WHEREAS, Congress has already authorized the construction of 854 miles of border fencing and appropriated one billion dollars to construct it and it is reliably reported that at least 700 miles of fence needs to be constructed;"

Border Proving to be Barrier for GOP

The RNC leadership think the conservatives will flood back when Hillary gets the Dem nod, so they are playing the odds. They can still poke their finger in the eyes of the conservatives and still get their votes.

It isn't much different than centrist Hillary probably getting the leftist votes, no matter what.

The RNC leadership still don't get it. They missed the message sent in the 2006 losses. They are probably going to get a remedial lesson in 2008 and get Hillary elected. If they don't wake up then, they are going to be the minority for another 40 years.

....what he did as governor with regard to infrastructure

Damn, there goes the keyboard with coffee.

What, BS. The BIG-DIG killed a woman because Romney
was just toooo busy taking money from the contractors.

When he wasn't taking $$$$$, he was letting illegal aliens
fill up Massachusetts from Pittsfield to Framingham to
Billrica to the Cape and every Emergency Room between.

Ohhhh right until 30 days before his term ended when he
conveniently FLIP-FLOPPED, but not before he saddled the MA
taxpayers with paying for all those illegal aliens ER visits.

Romney signing RomneyCARE=HillaryCARE

Sen. John Kerry to Don Imus: "I like this health care bill".

Sen. Hillary Clinton: "To come up with a bipartisan plan in this polarized environment is commendable."

James Carville: "It's a feel-good story, this Romney thing. Romney is an ascendant guy."

On immigration.....Democrats want to spend $10 million dollars to teach illegals to speak english. Since when do we have to pay to teach them english, with our tax money? Since when is it our responsibility to teach them english? Who gives Congress the right to take our tax money and spend it on illegals? They already drain our educational and medical institutions of billions of dollars. As I have stated before....”It is impossible to send 12 million illegals back to where they came from..............until you start. We need to start and stop listening to our do nothing Congress.”

You are extremely correct. I keep getting fake surveys with lame questions from the gop asking for my opinions and of course the donation.

I mark them with a big fat felt tip pen to build the fence or no money from the likes of me. Do you think these dunderheads get the message? Hell frickin NO~~!!!!

It is nothing more than a ploy like McCain, Kyl, and Graham suddenly this week seeing the light and changing their views.

How many miles of fence have they built?

Why are there no ICE agents in northern Arizona, which is flooded with illegals?

Until they show some action, their words on paper and in speeches are meaningless.

They have to re-earn their credibility, as they have lost it. This one resolution isn’t going to to re-earn them their credibility unless it IS passed and IS put into effect immediately.

And you can bet the White House (Bush) will bluster another veto threat, should it pass Congress.

If they do start passing piece-part attachments to other bills, read the fine print and see what else they are trying to sneak in.

Any bill related to immigration that has Kyl, McCain, Graham, Kennedy, and a few dozen other even breath near it, I would not trust.

It will take a while for this to be known as common public knowledge. The fact this only happen yesterday, means America may be a day late, but we are not a dollar short (well maybe I am wrong), to stop this madness at our border and inside our nation. Now if people are elected who will DO and not simply write or talk (like me), America and America's citizens will be made safer.

I cannot wait to watch the illegals go to the democrats now! This will be far more interesting than a simple resolution, and will force the democrats to show Americans whether the democrats are going to support America's citizens or DO the democrats support a foreign invasion.

Yes the democrats showed they support the foreign invasion recently along with some of our rino(s), but maybe the media will be forced to tell the truth, perhaps. I believe this is great news. Now it is the democrats turn...and from the look of today, the democrats are about to find as much chaos as the Republicans did in 2006, which I believe to be wonderful.

There is no fence even though it was paid for.
There is only a porous border.

Why?

“...854 miles of border fencing and appropriated one billion dollars...”

1.17 million dollars a mile.....peanuts, when you consider the per-illegal costs to American citizens being milked by wrongful benefits, job loss, crimes, and even court costs/legal assistance for these illegal alien criminals and their anchor-baby progeny to remain in the US. A million-plus per mile is a bargain if it would keep only as few as 10 illegals per mile per year out!

I was talking to a few friends of mine this week, we were arranging a get together to go to a gun show this month. All are fairly conservative and all reasonably politically active. And with the exception of Thompson they couldn't care less for any of the top reps running. In fact 1 of the 3 told me he would consider Edwards or RIchardson over Rudy or Mitt. The total tone deafness on the border and illegals was mentioned by all as a cause of dislike.

Both parties are crawling on their bellies to try and get the illegal immigrant vote; votes that are illegitimate from the get go.

Did you read the resolution?

Yep. Did you read the OTHER resolution passed at the same time?

RNC announces support for Bono's poverty initiative

The Republican National Committee yesterday took the first step toward endorsing a proposal by Irish rock star Bono to spend an estimated $30 billion in U.S. taxes to eliminate global poverty — a move some unhappy conservative RNC members labeled a step toward socialism.

But the RNC's Resolutions Committee also pleased conservatives by endorsing a resolution calling on the federal government to devote all means necessary to securing the nation's borders against an influx of illegal aliens.

Clearly playing us and clearly not going to work.

Suggesting that Congress carry out the law that it already passed as something of import, and then throwing away your money to another 3rd world hellhole project is going to fool noboby. - Nobody at all.

They are fed up with what they consider the corporate owned and operated Republican party. One told me if they will not listen to the base when it speaks so loudly and clearly, they why should th base vote for them.

If we had the spare money to spend on this, which we do not. I would demand that it be spent in the US on American citizens.
