Was a triple threat, you mean. He's in Gaol now, a guest awaiting Her Majesty's Pleasure.

The System works! Halleluja!

"Wonder if they will give the money back. Yea, right"

If Democrats ever had an attack of guilty consciousness and returned "dirty" money, the party would be bankrupted into non-existence.(wouldn't that be nice)

Regulators called it the most extensive bank conversion fraud they'd ever seen.

He got off lightly in my opinion. Thanks for posting the story.

Two years + home detention + a good-sized fine ain’t too bad. The courts could have sent a stronger message, and probably should have.

At least in America your corporate thieves get to do the perp walk.

DownUnder they are just as likely to get knighthoods.

what is wrong with conservationists? I can understand the hate for watermelon types-—green on the outside, red inside, but true blue conservationism is as american as apple pie. teddy Roosevelt was one, for example

Lookit——nobody opposes conservation——it’s just that conservationists are usually politically ultra-liberal, particularly on social issues.

They whine about saving the snail darter and the sperm whale, but their obsession with saving animal life rarely if ever extends to unborn children.

Conservationists aren’t the same as Preservationists. Conservationists are in favor of conserving...like...Conservatives.

Perhaps they mislabeled this guy, but true Conservationists are not the problem.

I am just saying conserving the natural beauty God created is a good thing. Some people will pave over everything beautiful just to make a buck, forgetting the more important things that make life worthwhile. I consider myself a conservationist, as well as a conservative. You can believe that abortion is wrong as well as believing unobstructed sprawl is a travesty as well

A good example of what I do is regarding the hideous suburban sprawl in Northern Virginia that is eating up historical sites like civil war and revolutionary battlefields-—I regularly donate money to a group that buys historical lands to prevent developers from paving them over for new strip malls and auto dealerships and ugly McMansion type houses and golf courses.

And they are being eaten up by these things at an alarming rate-—destroying our collective heritage. And they are creating traffic problems that could rival the worst in Los Angeles
