On tonight's O'Reilly Factor, Bill used the Souther Poverty Law Center as an authority on "hate groups". This is the same organization run by notorious race hustler Morris Dees, a man local Montgomery Alabama area black residents accuse of being a con man that takes their money, yet does little (including hiring black attorneys for the SPLC). There are several references online to Dees con-artistry. Everyone from National Review to The Nation has called Dees out, yet O'Reilly has given him credibility. The SPLC has tarred a large number of groups with the "hate" label that are nothing of the kind, including the United Daughters of the Confederacy (which does heinous things like place flowers at confederate graves).
Discover The Networks has an excellent summary of Dees and the SPLC, with great quotes that reach across the ideological spectrum. Even the uber-left leaning The Nation magazine has a wicked writeup called The Church of Morris Dees.
Congratulations, Bill...you've now officially jumped the shark.
I noticed O’Reilly hasn’t been nearly as interesting ever since the scandal broke about him a couple of years ago. I tried to ignore it and would still watch, because there was a time when he was better. But after what he just did last week, I won’t ignore it anymore that O’Reilly isn’t as interesting, I’m not watching his show ever again. As a matter of a fact, I moved my radio back into the kitchen so I can listen to some decent people while I’m working. But I can tell you one thing, it won’t be to listen to O’Reilly’s show either. Thankfully, I don’t even know where or when it’s on and I’m going to keep it that way.
Well he is after all, Fair & Balanced. ( or is that the other one?)
Conservatives still watch oreally?
I wouldn't be at all surprised if his copy of the Constitution had lots of dust and spiderwebs..
I am hoping it happens . . .
