Congressman Calls Bush 'A Clown'; 'Can't Stand Him' Wed Aug 01 2007 16:33:17 ET

North Dakota's U.S. Rep. Earl Pomeroy calls President Bush a “clown” and says he “can’t stand” him in a new video posted on the Internet.

According to the GRAND FORKS HERALD, the Democratic congressman was approached by a group called Grassroots America last week as he was walking the streets of Washington, D.C.

An Internet video shows Rep. Earl Pomeroy talking to a member of Grassroots America, in which he calls President Bush a “clown.” A group member had approached him asking about whether Bush should be impeached.

As he talked on a mobile phone, two women approached him and asked him about impeaching Bush, giving statistics of people who approve of the idea.

As a camera rolled, Pomeroy is shown to be clearly agitated by their questions.

“Most of the people I represent think that’s (impeachment) a horrible idea. I’m a Democrat, and I can’t stand this president, but I’m to represent the people that I represent and they are against impeaching the president,” Pomeroy said while pointing and waving his arms.

Actually he kind of resembles a clown more than W does. I have my differences with Mr. Bush, but I would hardly ever refer to the President as a 'clown'?

You're missing the point. Pomeroy is a Democrat representing North Dakota -- a state that Bush won by 28% over Ho Chi Kerry in 2004.

Pomeroy's idiotic mouth just put his house seat in jeopardy.

if you notice in the posting, the refer to him as a democratic congressman. Incorrect usage. He is a democrat, not democratic.

My President is no clown. But if I had my choice over a clown or a ‘’rapist’’. I think I’d choose the clown!

28% in North Dakota is like 137 people, he went for the Media Headline, so he could seem to be as big as Pelosi or Murtha, the tactic didn’t work in South Dakota, probably won’t work in North Dakota, Daschle must need company in lonely town.

Treat him like the joke he is and he will go away

Bush is no socialist/marxist.

Bush is no coward

those that cannot move him on these two points can only name call and find cover in the MSM.

Two words: Farm subsidies.

The ND. dems prop up inefficient farming with tons of federal money.

It wouldn’t shock me if the dolts up here re-elected him, they just want the money.

The current Congress has the lowest approval rating since Gallup began polling, a rating 50 percent lower than the President’s. Who’s the clown?

That’s ridiculous. All the farmers I know vote Republican. I was thinking about the Indian reservations and the cities.

Yep, but that makes too much sense.

Politicians always have to split the difference to collect the chaff, they are all now Career Minded and therefore the $ signs blind them before they even get to ambition, anyone that sees through that double edged glare is not Trustworthy. No matter which Party, Church or Boy Scout Troop they came from.

Rush said it years ago “Character Matters” and North Dakota is full of Characters that have Character.

Just like the rest of us, you need a non Career minded Character with Character willing to swim in that cesspool we call Government.

I spent a couple of summers there while characters tried to infuse a little character into me via long days in the Hay fields, (they were unsuccessful)
