Just turned on the news. 35W bridge collapsed in the Mississippi River. Cars, trucks, semis.....
Fires burning, tanker trucks, at least one school bus, more than ten cars......
Just now breaking.......
Hobos???
It’s also a good thing this is August and not January.
Exactly and the twins had 10 to 50 thousand fans in the stadium right by the site. Should they have stopped the game and sent them all out on the street to find their way home right now?
I just looked up pictures of bombed out bridges in Iraq and the pictures in Minn. They look VERY similar!
I lived in the area at the time. Drove to the bridge(The Sunshine Causeway) the to see the damage. The second span was open, needless to say that was the first and last time I ever crossed that bridge.
Prayers up for your folks and all those in that area.
I havent seen anything hysterical here.
A few asking could it be terrorism. Thats a valid question. Not likely, but valid.
Ahoy from W. Carver County, 50 miles to the west. All are OK in Castle Irgbar.
Thanks for your prayers, ninergold3...that’s what I’m hoping. Neice and her son are there also!! Still can’t get thru.
That’s what moonbats do. Everything is a conspiracy. It’s the way they think about life. Somebody’s always out to get them.
I like the response here on FR better. Prayer and factual analysis.
That is what Dad is thinking.
I am bracing for the inevitable comparison to Katrina...and something about how this is an affluent primarily white area and that’s why there was such a great response to this horrific disaster. We can almost write their lines...
Bikers.
I was in an office building in Redwood Shores. My wife was in a car in a parking lot at Stanford U.
I was amazed at the traffic afterwards.
Natural disaster = everyone has to get somewhere all of a sudden
OMG! Prayer alerts.
Rain moving in, no warnings issued at this time despite newscasters saying otherwise.....
Yep! Somebody had to say it....guess it was you.
Shep is getting very emotional again, like he did in Katrina.
TG for them, they are home safe.
Prayers up for those who were not so fortunate.
