I received an e-mail today from the Fox News producer who booked me for the O'Reilly Factor last night. The links have been forwarded to Jim Robinson for review.
Jim asked me to start a thread with the links so that Freepers, and everyone else, could see for themselves what the fuss is about.
The Hillary Clinton stray bullet assassination comment was a very bad joke comment that someone posted two days ago. It was flagged last night after the O'Reilly Factor broadcast and was removed by a moderator. It is available for the time being in Google cache:
To: Virginia Ridgerunner I like my scenario better:
After eight years of the economy faltering, interest rates are 19%, 900,000 people are dead in Iraq since we left, taxes have gone up by 60% and Chile, Bolivia and Columbia are now Communist regimes, a stray bullet at a NARAL rally catches President Clinton and kills her.
As they take away Cindy Sheehan she screams why did she have to remove the troops? We were winning.
The next day the dow goes up 2000 points and closes at 2150.

Don't even bother trying to defend that one. Assassination jokes have no place on Free Republic. Yes, Cindy Sheehan has written of her fantasizies about killing President Bush--and she's not joking, but that's her problem. We're better than that.
The "homosexuals are dogs" comment is taken out of context. The actual quote is "Homosexuals are the modern day dogs in the manger." That was in reference to an article about proprieters in the U.K. not being allowed to deny hotel accomodations to homosexual couples on account of religious belief.
The American Heritage online dictionary gives this description for the phrase: dog in the manger, NOUN: Inflected forms: pl. dogs in the manger. One who prevents others from enjoying what one has no use for oneself. ETYMOLOGY: From a fable in which a dog prevented an ox from eating hay he did not want himself.
That comment was posted two days ago and has also been removed by the moderators. It is available for now in Google cache.
The "I hate blacks" comment was nowhere to be found in the other threads referenced.
The threads are about crime in the black community, gangsta culture and Jesse Jackson. Two of the threads are in the Smoky Backroom.

Why FReeRepublic, and Why Now? I don’t understand this unless it is a preemptive strike against Conservative voters.
Considering the swiftness with which offensive posts get removed (I got a well-deserved 3-day for a “wishful think” about Michael Schaivo), I’m willing to bet the posts were screen saves that KKKosKidz sent to O’Reilly.
And I’m sorry - but since when do we look to the Bloviator to be the final arbiter on “hate” sites - especially when he’s now apparently carrying water for CAIR?
Over all, we are self policing.
first of all...I was taken aback by how good looking you are, so the interview wasn’t a whole waste.
I am surprised at BOR not getting the “dogs at the manger” comment having been a high school teacher and all that. Besides the fact that the comment he attributed to FR didn’t actually exist.
Please provide links.
Earlier this evening, I received an anti-semitic comment in a response to one of my snarky posts. By the time I was able to deplore the anti-semitic comment, it had been removed by a moderator. That sort of speedy zotting of obviously inappropriate content is by far the norm on FR, and for O’Reilly to even suggest otherwise is a gross distortion of the facts.
I don’t believe you.
There are some below standard comments to be sure, but most commentary here is insightful and people learn from it.
If you truly patronize the site on more than a very occasional basis you would know that.
And not try and smear all of us as being part and parcel w/ DUh, HuffPo or Kossacks. I really do not appreciate that.
BOR, is that you??!!!
Because FR got bigger ratings on Alexis than did BORE’s website and he wishes he was more popular so he’s gonna go outside and eat some worms.
FACT: O’Reilly lied.
The information provided by Fox News did in NO way prove “hate”, if anything it exonerated us.
When does Bill apologize?
What is the next move?
AGREE!
ON THE PRAY FOR THE PRESIDENT THREAD,MYSELF AND THE OTHER PRAYER LEADERS CONSTANTLY CLEAN THE AISLES.
ALSO CONCERNING B.O.,I’LL MAKE LITTLE COMMENT OTHER THAT HE IS EVIDENTLY A SELF SERVING MEDIA HACK.
PRAYERS FOR YOU AND YOUR’S!
Hatred is a good thing to have. It’s a wonderful motivator. I’m proud to say that I hate a number of things: I hate what is happening to our nation when freedom of speech is stripped away by whining people who use worse against us.
I agree that civility is a good thing, but there is...
“A time to cast away stones
A time to gather stones together”
and
“A time for love
A time for hate”
I hope I don’t get banned for this; but I’m so tired of having to “play by the rules” while others abuse us outside of the rule book.
My parish priest gave me 3 Our Fathers and 3 Hail Marys for wishing a stray lightning bolt send Schiavo a message. I think my priest was sympathetic for my feeling but I still paid.
‘24’ - do you mean the show ‘24’??
That suggests how vast this site is in content and variety of threads - I’ve been here since summer of 2001 (registered since Sept. 6 2001) and I was not even aware there’d ever been a ‘24’ thread, never mind many of them. Never seen any of them. There are vast numbers of niches and sub-sets of FR created and followed by afficionados of various subjects — it would take a huge cast of moderators to keep up with it all.
