Islammemo : The news agency reported that Algerian official leading member of the “Al Qaeda in the Maghreb, the Islamic” surrendered to the Algerian authorities, and spoke of the existence of tensions between leaders of the group.

The Agency : The leader of Al-Qaeda Morocco say, “Ibn Masood Abdul Qadir,” known as “Abu Musab al-Dawud,” who was active in southern Algeria surrendered during this month after disagreements with other leaders in the organization.

The agency quoted security sources as saying that “Abdel Kader” Algerian security officials reported that the step “Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat” to join Al Qaeda was “an individual decision” taken by the leader, “Abdul Malik Drukdl.”

The sources added that “Abu Musab al-Dawud,” admitted that “tensions between the organization’s leaders more acute by the day.”

The sources pointed out that another leading member in the group is “Mokhtar Belmokhtar,” known as “Khaled Abu Abbas” was first contacted directly by the leadership of Al Qaeda.

But according to sources Belmokhtar studying at the present time to withdraw Mali; Because he feared exposure to treason and “neutralization” at the hands of the commander of the group in the desert, “Javadi Yahya”, alias “Abu Ammar”.
Recall that the group that was known in the past as the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat had announced last year allegiance to Al Qaeda, and vowed this month to launch more attacks in the country of Morocco.

The Algerian security forces have intensified their attacks on Al Qaeda hideouts after the group shifted its focus to the bombings which attracts more attention in the cities, instead of a hit-and-run on police in rural areas.
