Health Care in a Socialized Nation
SmallGovTimes.com ^ | July 30, 2007 | Michael Hill

One of the biggest questions of the day is health care - why are people being denied this most basic human right, what to do about those who cannot afford it, why are so many uninsured in this greatest nation on Earth, why are costs skyrocketing, and not if, but when, should we turn over health care to our federal nanny. It makes for tragic reading; but, is that because we are in such a tragic state, or could it be because the easiest way to pull off the single greatest income and power grab by the federal government in our nation's history might require that we all buy into the tragedy, hook, line and sinker? With all things political aided and abetted by the media, I go with the latter, but let's see what we are being fed, and then ask some questions.

I’ve been thinking about the two parties lately. With the sock puppet on Youtube and the little girl at the Dem convention in 2004. I would love some R officeholder to point out that the adults are in charge of the Republican Party. The D’s pander to the immaturity of their rabid extreme.

I had a toothache when I lived in Britain. I went to the Dentist and he drilled and filled my tooth. I was surprised that he didn’t clean my teeth also. The ladies at work pointed out that tooth cleaning is ‘only cosmetic after all’. Now you know the truth about British teeth! Preventative care is ‘only cosmetic’.

We should start a call in campaign to Hitlery’s office. We can tell her what she can do with her socialized medicine. She’ll need a proctologist specialist to remove it.

The socialist Liberals and RINO’s need to be forced to use whatever health care they scrounge up. They can stand in line with the common folk.

No, no, silly person! We would have perfect health care just like Cuba! /s

What you describe is just like the real state run “health care” in Cuba.

Control the Insurance companies. They are the ones driving prices up. Insurance companies are the richest companies in the world.

I'm a dual citizen. I've lived and worked all my life in Canada until recently. I wouldn't take my dog to a Canadian hospital ER. Seriously, vets offer better animal care in Canada than you get at some hospitals. In remote places "free health care" consists of a clinic staffed with a couple nurses. NO doctor at all! Finally I got tired of maintaining my house in Canada and paying outrageous taxes I sold it and live permanently on the USA side of the border. I aways had to use the US medical system anyways if I wanted to see a doctor imediately. In Canada even getting into seeing a doctor to tell him you think something is wrong can take 6 months. Then it takes another 6 months to see the specialist he refers you to, then another 6 months to get an MRI or what ever tests needed, then another 6 months to book surgery... It really sucks.

And people want that here? What fools. If they only knew the B.S. Micheal Moore is pedaling will end up killing them. You can bet that fat retard wouldn't wait in line for the Canadian health care system when his heart gets tired of hauling his lard around.

Even medicaid is 10 times better than Canadian health care.

I doubt that anyone in government is of an adult mentally … even (sad to say) the Pres. Somewhere there is a phrase about “the children shall led them”, we have arrived.

I have yet to hear anything positive about any of the socialized medicine systems (other than from the media, Michael Moore and the Dem candidates)...why does it keep getting pushed? Never mind...I know, money, power, control, loss of liberty, loss of freedom, loss of free markets, etc.

This garbage just keeps coming, hour by hour, day by day, week by week, month by month. Liberals are doing their best to destroy America as we know it. If the American people don’t wake up, like yesterday, we’re doomed.

Actually, dental care is good in Canada, but that's because it's completely private, just like health care and dental care is here in the USA.
At least here it's all included in your insurance plan.

At least the poor in the UK don't die from rotting teeth like they do in Canada. You'd think their universal health care would include basic dental care like in the UK.

why are people being denied this most basic human right

When the Hell did something that is not in any way free become a basic human right?

How did I suddenly become imbued with the right to use the services, products, and labors of others by simple right of birth?

- I do wait for long times to properly use the term “imbue.” 8^)

As soon as I heard the pitch, it was clear that it could never, ever work.(I don't mean, "never pass", I mean, "never function").

Did anyone even understand that plan? It is the only thing that Hillary Clinton has ever really been responsible for at the national level, and it was a complete embarrassment and shattered her husband's administration.

would cost an extra $500/month for every family in this country

Yea, but the children would have health care and Hillary would have
provided food stamps to make up for the starving children.
Allthough, food stamps would be another tax increase.
And on and on....

If "health care" is a "basic human right," why are doctors and hospitals allowed to charge anyone, including the taxpayers, for it. They should be providing this "right" for free.

Socialists are morons.

There is one thing that will get all this socialist crap out of peoples heads.
A severe depression. Social programs don't do well when hard times hit. There just isn't any public purse left to rob. People then wake up and realize that nothing comes free.

We are saturated enough with social programs that a good long depression will cause most of them to collapse. Then you will no longer hear cries for universal health care.

Maybe that's what we need to rid this nation of all these brain dead marxist moonbats.

Actually, next Dem debate, there should be a question about whether they (and their families) would use the socialized heathcare system...would they wait for months for an appointment, would they wait for months for an elective procedure (let alone a non-elective procedure) would they wait for tests, etc? I bet the response would be just like the public school question asked of the candidates.
