Whenever I see John Burns’ byline, I can’t wait to read the article. He has been the best chronicler of life on the ground in both Afghanistan and Iraq since the war broke out, and he is a wonderful writer. He also has made it abundantly clear that although he is reporting the facts as clearly as he can, his heart is with the good guys.
The New York Times editorial page and columnists are beyond help, but Burns is one the best reporters in the business.
The interview with Hewitt is so clear-headed and full of integrity that it is must hear/read.
I hope everybody on FR takes the time to read the Hewitt interview-and watch for Burns’ reporting in the Times and on the web. He is just great.
PING to an able MSM type.
Thank you.
