Hee-hee! So...they’d have to adjust!

My hubby has a 1940’s Navy Mess Recipe Book. I laugh when
I read the list and amounts of ingredients! LOL!

The same French Toast Recipe Scaled up for 300 serving instead of the original 12 servings.

INGREDIENTS
25 (1 pound) loaves French bread, sliced
150 eggs
37 cups skim milk
8-1/3 cups white sugar
1-1/2 cups and 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
150 apples - peeled, cored and sliced
3/4 cup and 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup ground nutmeg
3 cups and 2 tablespoons white sugar
12-1/2 cups white sugar
6-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
12-1/2 cups margarine, melted
12-1/2 cups brown sugar
12-1/2 cups skim milk
1 cup and 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

That’s a recipe a Mess Sergeant could love.
