Nothing more than a comment by John Gibson. Maybe I heard wrong. So sorry if I did.

Well, if true, that would suck. I sincerely hope that you misheard it, or that the source was incorrect.

I heard Gibson say that also. I'm wondering Gibson got the seizure Roberts had in the 90's confused with his fall today (hoping)?

Prayers for Roberts!!

Roberts apparently suffered a seizure in 1993. Perhaps they were referring to that one.

Then why are you even posting it here?
This is the height of irresponsible.

Certain medications can trigger seizures in normal individuals. Ciproflaxin, an antibiotic, has a nasty side effect of causing seizures.

He had one a few years ago - it’s probably nothing... stress related is my guess.

Dear God! I pray that he is okay.

My father in law had a seizure in December. It turned out to be an incurable brain tumor. He is still with us, but it isn’t pretty.

Justice Roberts could lose 75% of his brain’s function, and STILL be a better man than anyone a leftist would nominate...

I vote on keeping him in place - REGARDLESS of his injury.

Janet Reno had Parkinson’s and it didn’t stop her from invading private citizen’s homes.

I heard the same thing. Many people have seizures. No need to get all excited at this point.

I have a sister in law that had several grand mal seizures in her younger years.

Hasn’t had one since.

He had a seizure according to this:
http://www.mainecoastnow.com/articles/2007/07/30/courier_-_gazette/breaking_news/doc46ae4b38ad879059499505.txt

Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., a seasonal resident of Hupper Island, located off Port Clyde, was taken to Penobscot Bay Medical Center in Rockport mid-day Monday.

St. George Ambulance responded to a call at about 2 p.m. Monday of a man who had fallen 5 to 10 feet and landed on a dock, hitting the back of his head. The patient was ashen and was foaming at the mouth. The patient had reportedly suffered a grand mal seizure and was transported to Penobscot Bay Medical Center.

As of Monday afternoon, Penobscot Bay Medical Center would not confirm that Roberts was a patient.

Roberts and his wife, Jane Roberts, purchased their home on Hupper Island in June 2006. The island is located a few hundreds yards off Port Clyde and is only accessible by boat.

Roberts, 52, was appointed as chief justice by President George W. Bush and has served since Sept. 29, 2005.

More information will be provided as it becomes available.

I heard the same, but nothing has been confirmed.

As is usual with me, I check out DU to see what they are saying and they didn't let me down. Not all, but most, are wishing Roberts ill. Sickening!

Pray for Roberts.

Long before John Roberts was a federal judge, he apparently suffered a seizure while playing golf. It was in January 1993, while he was in private practice. News reports at the time say he was not allowed to drive for several months and took the bus to work. There’s no indication that doctors ever figured out what happened. The White House called it an “isolated, idiosyncratic seizure.”

Thnaks for posting, Proud.

I just heard on the local news that he was taken to the hospital as a precaution. They don’t know the nature or extent of the injuries, but it is reassuring to hear that the hospital trip was just a precaution.
