Frankly, anita, Specter has been doing things for a while now that cause me to question his mental balance.

In the past he has managed to find at least a cover of rationality for his attacks on the President and on conservatives, but this nonsense about going through the confirmation testimony is off the rails. He can read legal opinions. He knows that both Roberts and Alito have been exactly the kinds of jurists they said they would be, not driven by ideology, but by the law and the Constitution.

So is there something about that that he finds objectionable.

Good point. Also, these so called “moderates” forget which party got them elected & gave chairmanship of an important committee - and than anything else, worked for gtiing elected in the first place. One of the important reasons for losing senate was people like Specter grand standing for everything.

Spectre is just one in a growing list of Rinos,McCain, Graham, etc. that have to be targeted at election time. They all need to be replaced wherever possible with good conservative Republicans.

There is a Washington Compost article in the Austin Statesman today.

Poll: Increasing number say high court too far right

I thought the better title whould be:

Poll: Increasing number say high court often CORRECT

BTW, did you see this thread just above the Sunday show thread?

It still baffles me as to why in the hell did Bush endorse his re-election campaign...I saw him on the stage together, and couldn't’t believe it. Specter must have something on every Republican in office.
