First of all, let me compliment you on your tagline. You quote it correctly. Most people say: "You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free. There's a difference in being "set" free and being "made" free.

That said; I disagree with your premise on the YouTube debate format. This is the 21st Century. YouTube and the Internet are here to stay. The sooner these old coots get into the 21st Century, they might start winning some elections. Otherwise, the Dems will keep us out of the White House and in the congressional minority for a long, long time.

But, as I said in an earlier post, the rich elitists like Rooty Julie Annie and Mitt Romney never have liked "mixing" with us common folk. BTW, MEGoody, wasn't that the people that Jesus mixed with? (And he didn't call them morons.)

Hmmmmmmmm..............

Seminar YouTube Question:

“I am a past supporter of republican candidates, with the public now utterly in favor of surrendering in Iraq, the fact GWBush lied completly about the bombs in Saddams baby milk factory, what are you as a candidate going to do to tax rich people so much that we will sign the Kyoto anti property treaty?”

or something disjointed to that effect.

Life is hard. Nothing is ever fair.

Every chance to spread the Conservative voice is a plus for us. Now is not the time to back down from a challenge.

YouTube has nothing to do with these debates.

This is just a tool, as shown by the first one, to allow CNN to cherry pick the looney left questions under the guise of “new media”.

This is no different than just sending a CNN crew out to the street.

A gimick and utter BS.

Forgoing CNN is actual a death stroke to OLD DBM.

I really want to see Fred debate, but I am not sure that this is the forum. I heard that CNN was going to change the date so more candidates will attend.

I hope that Guiliani, Thompson and Romney decline again to show that the GOP is not a party that answers questions from stupid sock puppets.

The format is designed to have CNN frame the debate from the start as conservatives as presumed guilty as liberally charged.

If you want to have a revolution, do a live stream on FR and cut CNN out of the picture.

CNN is as much old media as the NYT.

Dude I understand that. You can’t run away from a debate. No matter how stacked it is.

Any, I mean any chance to get out the Conservative voice is a win for us.

Nobody ever said the battle of ideas in the Arena would be easy.

I generally agree, but would you agree to a debate moderated by Michael Moore?

BTW, I WOULD agree to a debate moderated by Michael Moore and Rush Limbaugh. I’d love to see that format for both repubs and democrats.

It would be a slaughter.

I liked Gingrich’s analysis that so far it’s been more of an audition for the presidency than a real debate or dialog. This Youtube crap verifies his thinking.

Whatever. I thought some of the questions from the “common folks” were extremely good and well thought out.

To each his own.

” If you agree to a YouTube (so-called) debate, you are agreeing to participate in an essentially shallow forum in which silly, essentially meaningless real-time graphics are overlaid that show the supposed popularity of any given statement on a second-by-second basis.”

In other words, don’t pay any attention to the 18-25 crowd. They already vote Democrat.

All Republican candidates should skip this farce. It appeals to the dregs and losers of society who believe that government should "do something" about issues it shouldn't be doing in the first place.

Republicans are the adults here, not Democrats.

In other words, don’t pay any attention to the 18-25 crowd. They already vote Democrat. I reckon you're right, but on the other hand, it would be nice to be able to sway some of them over to the right side. I didn't vote Democrat when I was that age, so it's possible. :)

Maybe as far as CNN is conserned it may be like an MTV “get Out their Vote” but there are many conservatives there fighting the fight and muslims trying to get them banned.

Does it really matter at all, except to kids in the dorm?

Yes, because they are not just kids in the dorm. In fact, most that I see involved on YouTube are 35 and up. Even many grandparents.

YouTube is like the DU and FR. Instead of posting articles they post videos, instead of posting opinions they make their own videos. I have mixed feelings about the GOP skipping any debate (as much as I hate CNN). I mean, if they decide to only have their debates on the Rush Limbaugh program then what do they really gain for votes? I say go among the sinners and take away votes from the other side.

YouTube is a great tool for exposing the democrats for what they really are when they say support the troops like in this video when a protesting Democrat calls grieving mother’s son a rapist, sodomizer

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhhhpRH7psU

And for the conservatives who go YouTube and express their opinions about how and why they think Democrats are giving aid and comfort to the enemy!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnLfSVbTZKo

YouTube is not the only battlefield but it is a big one this time around.
