There is no dollar amount acceptable in my book. If his plan does not include sending them home then it's amnesty.

Candidates with minuscule poll numbers mud-wrestling with each other to attempt to gain traction. Highly amusing!

“Pay restitution” for criminals is AMNESTY....which was defeated TWICE already. Anything short of deportation (current law) is not enforcing the law.

Thanks for confirming you are on the PRO-AMNESTY side of the debate, Huck!

Bay Buchanan would never have let that ad go out if it was not true. I like Huck, but he did this to himself.

“The radio ad calls Mitt Romney a flip-flopper on abortion, amnesty and gun control, then attacks Sam Brownback, Fred Thompson and Huckabee, claiming “they’re all for amnesty.””

Every word in this statement is true. Multi-faced Mitt (the word two-faced seems inadequate in his case), Brokeback, and Huckabee are all for amnesty.

She said Huckabee supported a plan by Bush that would have allowed illegal immigrants to earn the right to stay in the United States, and that Huckabee refused to sign a pledge opposing amnesty.

Sounds like he supports amnesty to me.

Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee on Thursday, July 26, called on rival Tom Tancredo to stop airing a "blatantly dishonest" campaign ad in Iowa that accuses Huckabee of favoring amnesty for illegal immigrants.

This add, if it states that Huckabee is in favor of amnesty, is 100% true. For Huckabee to deny it is a huge fraud. Huckabee has said many times that he is FOR amnesty. There are not many pro-illegals politicians out there in any party. Huckabee even resorted to calling other candidates and politicians "back home" some pretty nasty names because of efforts to cut off non-essential government services to illegals (free tuition, welfare benefits, etc.).

Huckabee - what happened to your Preacher/Pastoral days? Did you forget your commitment to God to be an honest man? I don't think that commitment has been terminated by God.

Does anyone have a link to the ad?

Huckabee said his first priority is to make the U.S. border secure, then require illegal immigrants to pay restitution for breaking the law.

Better known as the McCain Kennedy Amnesty plan

>>>Huckabee said his first priority is to make the U.S. border secure, then require illegal immigrants to pay restitution for breaking the law.

This country has lost 619 thousand Americans on the battlefields around the world in the last 100 years making the world safe.

The reason we are not sending people back to Nazi Germany because we took care of Nazi Germany and we liberated the Germans and the reason we are not sending people back to a Communist Poland is because we brought down the Berlin Wall. The reason we are not sending people back to a Marxist Dictatorship in El Salvador is because we liberated El Salvador.

We have made the world much freer. And we have pumped billions of dollars into lots of countries to improve their economies. So I think the United States, more than any nation in the world, has a right to tell folks, you folks stay in your own country, make it work and when you want to come into America *knock on the front door*.

Tancredo campaign spokeswoman Bay Buchanan...

Oh my goodness....say it ain't so. I did NOT know that Bay is working for Tom Tancredo. Not good.

That explains the "kill and destroy the guys on our side with friendly fire" campaign ads. Apparently they are also getting campaign advice from her divisive, destructive brother Pat, who opens his mouth before engaging his brain. That's why the guy can't win an election.

Here are two links to copy and paste for proof of Huckabee's pro-amnesty stance (you'll have to scroll to find Huckabee's name and positions).

The first came in an April 27 speech:

The other is from the Council of Foreign Relations web site. It's a speech of December 2006, updated July 17. A simple search on Google provides many more examples, too:
