CALGARY, Alberta (Reuters) - Canada's crude-oil pipelines may have to ration space as early as this autumn because of a surge of new oil production from the Alberta oil sands, the country's energy regulator said on Friday.

The National Energy Board said the pipeline industry may face a capacity crunch as oil output this year rises to 2.9 million barrels a day, 9 percent more than in 2006.

Odd, The price of crude just keeps going up. We now have so much refined gas inventories here the price of gas is still going down (Dallas)

Paid 2.66 in the middle of Richardson today.

Some of the pipelines are sending oil to port facilities so it can be shipped to other countries. Some Alberta companies have a deal with China for instance. I don’t know how much is headed our way.

Some of it’s getting a little old, but as the saying goes, “there’s a sucker born every minute”.

I sure wish we would have had the net back then. Some things are archived like Newsweek’s Global Cooling, but there is not near enough on how we are going to run out of oil and there really isn’t very much oil on the north slope.

According to the theory, production was supposed to peak in 1995, at about half of current production rates. Since then, the theorists are sort of like the end times folks: “The peak is TODAY!!!”

Thought we were supposed to run out in the 70s?

The first prediction said we would run out some time in the 1860's.

I see that quote over and over and over again. Do some logic. That quote came from the late 1800’s early 1900’s; there’s thousands of suckers born every second! Make money off the chimps!

Cuba is drilling in their own waters.

The above are maps of the Exclusive Economic Zones of Cuba and the contiguous US. Nations claim up to 200 nautical miles from their land. When closer, the nations split the difference unless specified in a treaty or the like to be different.
