Anyway, the only voice on talk radio that is not a drone is Michael Savage. And he alone championed the case of the Duke Lacrosse players from the very beginning. I remember the day very well. As usual, Savage predicted what would happen, just like the immigration atrocity that almost happened
.just like the Dubai Ports thing. Why is it this guy seems to be the only one who gives a damn about something OTHER than partisan politics?

True. But Horowitz has the class and self respect to freely admit it.
I also admit to a conversion to conservatism (see my profile) and I have no problems with people who do make such a conversion.
My problem with Savage though is that he seems to avoid this topic, why?
Self Admission on my part: I have not listened to Savage in several years, simply because he grew tiresome, rude and predictable. Plus I learned a bit more of the guy from friends in San Francisco. I simply lost interest in him and hold nothing against him.
If you truly believe he is a liberal Democrat, you are sadly ignorant on this topic.
C'mon now, don't beat around the bush, just call an idiot an idiot...
“Savage is a twit.”
Agreed.
Exactly. What, you're a great American for calling his show whether or not you're a flaming liberal? I got bored listening to him.
He beats hannity hands down. I can’t stand hannity.
Rush is number one. I’d put ingraham a distant second, savage for a close third. Glenn beck is fourth, O’reilley is fifth and barely tollerable, and hannity sucks. He should be booted.
I’d be interested in what you learned about him from your friends. I’m a Christian, a constitutional conservative and an economic libertarian. This puts me at odds with Michael (Weiner, Savage, whatever) in his treatment of others and his stand on several subjects. But there’s something inexplicably fascinating about this guy. What and how he addresses some things resonates with me that nothing else does. Sometimes in an offhanded way, he’ll talk about something in a way that matches how I think and feel about it - in a way no other media source seems to.
Hannity’s heart is in the right place, but he is a momma’s boy. He is definitely on my “do not listen as there is not an original thought” list.
“AFAIK, Free Republic was the first to call BS on this case.”
Probably correct, but we will very rarely get credit.
It took an incredible amount of effort coming from so many different directions. All it should have taken was the truth.
What an improvement! I see she finally decided to lose some weight & put on some make up.
That’s why Nifong’s role was so critical. He blew it, and he has no penalty for his negligence and perfidy. He loses his law license and could get 30 days in jail. It’s a sad commentary on our Justice System, but as is often said, “It’s the best there is.”
The media moves on to it’s next sensational (fits their beliefs about the USA) story, and so on. Meantime, real public enemies get little or no jail time or suspended sentences. I’m baffled as to how we have the best system under those circumstances. Just look at the kids out on the Northwest coast. Twelve and thirteen-year-olds facing 6 years in prison for sexual assault. I could have had three or four guys (and a few bosses) arrested and prosecuted had I had a mind to do so.
I just didn’t have the killer instinct to take out a life for boorish behavior. I placed a sharp slap on the face of one little jerk in 7th grade. That took care of it in Middle School. Now, we’d both be in for hell on earth. He turned out okay, I presume. Married, with children and a good life. Today, he’d be labeled as a sexual predator. How sad.
Ordinarily I would agree with that, but we are talking about North Carolina. This state is among the worst at redneck, good ol' boy corruption in many areas, specifically Durham. The politicians are just as corrupt, as are District Attorneys and some judges. I do not accept that North Carolina justice is a good example.
I think the professional demise of Nifong had a lot more to do with the excellent legal representation of the falsely accused then it did with the manic-depressive ululations of a narcissistic blatherskite.
I think I was the first to suggest it, but many quickly chimed in. I still think you should have gone. And if I had been in NC, I would have gone with you.
And like you, from the first day I heard the story, I thought Tawana Two.
Patton would slap your face if he heard you comparing him to Savage the wuss.
You were the first to declare that the charges would be dropped, weren’t you?
I don’t think I was first, but I was among the early ones. I said back in June 2006 that Crystal would never take the stand and that all charges — not just the rape charge — would be dropped by December 21st.
OTOH, I also said that Nifong would never be disbarred. Happily I was wrong on that one!
Could anyone accurately predict all the twists and turns in this case?
No, but I can accurately predict that we haven't heard the last of the corruption in North Carolina!!
