CALL FOR HELP/ASSISTANCE FROM FREEPERS:
From September 3rd - 15th Move America Forward will lead our largest national pro-troop caravan/tour in our organizations 3 1/2 year history.
This effort comes at what is arguably the most important time in the debate over the merits and importance of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Congress has required the U.S. Commanding General in Iraq, Gen. David Petraeus, to report to them by SEPTEMBER 15TH on the progress of "the surge" of U.S. troops in Iraq.
We at Move America Forward believe in and support the missions of our troops in Iraq, Afghanistan and the broader war on terrorism. We believe that losing to al-Qaida and their affiliated Islamic jihadists allies in Iraq would be devastating for American national security, and strengthen and embolden al-Qaida's hand around the globe.
We need the help and assistance of members of Free Republic to suggest ideal rally stop locations in the 25+ cities we will be stopping in for pro-troop rallies as we cross the nation.
We also welcome offers of assistance, help in spreading the word and networking in your LOCAL communities.

Maybe MAF can drop off some scissors and running shoes.
I like it!
I recently held a Let Freedom Ring America rally on the steps of the Statehouse here in Columbus. As an individual, the costs I incurred were ridiculous (almost $400.00), but as an organization I assume it would be affordable. However, they have very tight restrictions on everything. There is a minimum number of hours for required security, required staff (if on a weekend), any needed equipment must be rented, posters/signs can have no sticks attached (not even something as thin as a paint stir stick), flags can be attached to sticks or poles, banners may only be held by one person.
If there is anything I can do to assist, please pm me.
