Action Alert: Cindy Sheehan in NYC on Sunday, 7/29/07 - GOE & Freepers Needed (DETAILS)
email | July 26, 2007 | Dan Maloney, NY Coordinator, GOE

Posted on 07/26/2007 10:00:58 AM PDT by tgslTakoma

Who: Cindy Sheehan
What: Gathering of faint Hearts Rally/Concert
Where: Central Park, East Meadow, 5th Ave & East 97th Street, Opposite Mt. Sinai Medical Center
When: Sunday, July 29th, Noon to 6pm

Plan: Gather at 5th Ave & East 97th Street at Noon.

We will proceed into the park and stake out a prominent location. We will voice our Support for our Troops and disdain for Ms. Sheehan as loudly and vocally as possible. We will use our first amendment right to free speech to interrupt her traitorous bile. Remember, Casey was a Hero, Cindy is a Zero!

Bring flags, signs, banners, cow bells, duck callers anything you might need for a day in the park with moonbats. If you arrive late just enter the park through that entrance and look for the cluster of American flags (we can be certain the traitors won't have them).

Background:

Cindy Sheehan, estranged mother of the hero, Casey Sheehan, who died in Iraq trying to help his wounded comrades, has made a career out of lending aid and comfort to our enemies. She has been a willing pawn of the radical left wing. Her celebrated retirement earlier this year ended this month when she decided to mount a "Walk for Humanity" (In which she hasn't walked a mile) from Crawford, TX, to New York City.

The Gathering of Eagles has met her every step of the way. We mounted counter protests at Ft. Benning, Georgia, Charlotte, North Carolina, Charlotteville, Virginia, Arlington, Virginia and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She retreated from many of those engagements.

We want her to know that we in New York support our troops and have nothing but scorn and disdain for anyone espousing treason who stands to encourage the enemy to prolong and intensify their actions against our brave men and women. We want her to know that the Gathering of Eagles and all our allies and friends will do everything in our power to shout truth to her seditious lies. We want her to know, when she leaves for her Mideast "Traitor's Tour" next week, that Americans despise what she is doing!

We want our troops in the field to know that we have their backs at home; whenever and wherever we must be. They are sacrificing years of their lives for us, we can damn well sacrifice a day for them!

Please forward this email to every person, group and organization you know!

Eagles Up!

Yes. I can see how successful you’ve been, too (/sarc).

We've cut their numbers significantly and they didn't get what they wanted, propoganda pieces about wounded and especially amputees in the news.

I've had three separate soldier say the same ting to me about experincng going past those bastards when arriving at Walter Reed. All had exactly the same comment, seeing the Pinkos they said to themselves, "I don't need this shit."

As to the worth of that effort, I'll go with the opinions of the Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff, Garrison Commander, Head of Surgery (?), PTSD Counselor, plus numerous paitents and family.

Please, please don't come out. You're an embarassment. Stay behind your keyboard where you are impotent.

The Wombat is the first cousin of the Moonbat.

NO! NO! Don't take my double ping away, then what will I do??!!
I don't trust the badge. I want further ID!
I think I have a stack of warnings I get before the FINAL. Let me check the fine print on my contract a sec.

YUP! I am allowed 7 warnings a month, and at the end of the calendar year we start over. However, any accrued can be rolled over into the next year! Do you need a magnifying glass to help read the fine print? Just being helpful!

Someone carry a large sign or banner, honoring Specialist Casey Sheehan. On that particular sign, make no mention of Moonbat Sheehan. Also, if someone could make up some simple fliers, detailing SPC Sheehan’s service, as well as his dedication to that service.
great idea!!! I hope someone picks up on it and does it!!

I still don’t understand how this unemployable, boring, nasty shill for the socialists can move around the country like she’s got some kind of free pass.

Contributions from Sore Ass and oil-rich jihadis?

I think you're wasting your time, that your effort is good only for building your moral. At one time I was doing what you were doing, that was when I was very young and even more idealistic. I think directly helping our troops, such as homecoming welcoming committees is far better than slugging it out with Neanderthals like Sheehan. I support our troops. You support your troops. You show our support your way and while I disagree and think you're merely giving Sheehan, et all., a forum, you have every right to continue doing so. So enjoy your demonstration and I'll look for you on TV.

And I sincerely wish you success.

I haven’t forgotten anything, Bud. I walked away from 1 WTC on September 11th and volunteered to re-enlist on September 12th. The Navy didn’t want 38 year-old ex-ordinance specialists who were 40 pounds overweight, but at least polite about it (lol). I’m voicing my opinion that the way to get rid of these folks is not to give them any attention. It’s specifically what they want.

There is a lesson I learned a long time ago when I used to babysit my infant nephews: when you respond to a child’s cry when it reaches acertain decibel level, the next time the child cries it begins it wail at exactly that pitch. The cycle continues, with the display becoming ever more shrill as the child figures how to get attention and, ultimately, manipulate you.

This is the strategy of the anit-war crowd, and Takoma and Buford have fallen for it, hook, line and sinker.

My other beef is about having my patriotism, my intelligence and my character assasinated by two idiots who imply that because I don;t see the world the same way they do, I must be a moral coward. Their argiument is an old and flawed one; if you aren’t anti-______, then you are objectively pro-______.”

Simpistic and juvenile.

And shame on YOU for falling into their trap of equating someone they happen to disagree with as an enemy. I have no truck with Cindy Sheehan or any of the hemp-wearing morons who follower her around, except that they have a very skewed and mentally-lazy view of the world.

“Noting gives you the right to make an off the cuff (unintentional I’m sure) insult to the widow of a war hero. If you had actually read what she posted you might not have slapped her in the face.”

I never insulted a war widow! How DARE you? The idiot comment was directed at Takoma (hell, it was addressed to him — His name appears in the TO line at the top of the post!). She (deb) took it as being directed at her, and it never was. Have people forgotten how to read now?

7 warnings!!! That’s some contract, sheesh. You must be pretty important. Keeping that in mind, just consider this a routine pull-over, nothing will go on your permanent record. Have a nice day. ;-)

Well, considering I am still waiting for the official ID to back the badge...

PHEW! Saved the permanent record!

Thanks for trying to keep me in line. Have a great weekend! ;o)

So your answer to quiet the screaming child is to ignore it? No matter how long it cries or how loudly? Keep in mind this “child” plans a city to city tour of wailing. To me, as a parent, you teach your child not to wail by telling them it’s wrong to begin with. I sure the hell wouldn’t let them wail and wail and keep going on...

Also, let us keep in mind that this “child” has many people encouraging her to wail. The lesson here is that not stopping your wailing child is REALLY BAD PARENTING.

“So your answer to quiet the screaming child is to ignore it?”

Ummm, no. It was an analogy, deb.Easy to follow and it wasn’t necessary to take it so literally.

“Keep in mind this “child” plans a city to city tour of wailing.”

As is her right. I don’t have to agree with it, nor do I have to care about it. In case you have forgotten, I, the members of my family, and your late husband all served to ensure that she has the right to be an idiot, if that’s what she chooses to be. It’s what we volunteered for and it’s what we swore to do.

“To me, as a parent, you teach your child not to wail by telling them it’s wrong to begin with.”

No, children wail in any case. They only learn the subtleties of when it is appropriate and when it’s not with the passage of time, guidance and experience. People screaming at each other do not “guide” each other — they just make a lot of useless noise.

“Also, let us keep in mind that this “child” has many people encouraging her to wail.”

Actually, she has been abandoned by the very people who gave her her 15 minutes because she is no longer politically useful to them. I would bet the vast majority of the people who do join her in the park this weekend will have nothing to do with the “anti-war” movement; they will instead be gay-rights activists, PETA, and the usual crowd of hanger’s-on and coattail riders who use her event to bring themselves a higher profile. Sort of like Takoma and Buford will be doing. Sycophancy sometimes makes for strange bedfellows that way.

My answer to the Cindy Sheehan “problem” is to just let it fade away. People like her, i.e. people willing to be duped and manipulated by other, sharper-minded people with an unterior motive, usually do.

At some point, the wailing and the crying, the gnashing of teeth and the hurling of invective over the war will end, but it will not end because a bunch of folks congregated in the park. The Woodstock Generation who believed they stopped the War in Vietnam did no such thing; their congregating in public speeches, their infantile chanting and their ridiculously inane worldview did not save the life of a single American, Vietnamese or Laotian, and the present yelling and screaming will be just as effective.

That war ended because even the people who had a vested interest in seeing it continue simply got sick and tired of it.

What could have stopped this mess was someone in the Pentagon and White House remembering that wars are fought and won by making the other guy suffer until he realizes his system is not viable in any meaningful way. And since we missed our opportunity to do that by playing patty-cake with the Iraqis, we are suffering the consequences.

If someone wishes to protest anything, go protest that. Somehow, the military that “learned the lessons of Vietnam” managed to forget them all over again, and if that wasn’t bad enough, followed a Commander-in-Chief (and his hanger’s-on), who, despite what sort of decent men they might be, figured they could finesse, smile and cheap their way into an easy victory, while allowing the Iraqi army to escape, armed militias led by religious bigots and zealots to form, created a government of Saddams-in-waiting which they defend with American troops (and not enough of them, btw), and made a hero (and minister of the government!) out people like of Al Sadr.

That’s what’s wrong with this rally and counter-protest; boths sides have missed the bigger picture and both sides are aiming at the wrong target.

The best way for you to get your message across to all of us idiots is to ignore us, Wombat. Head upstate to the “Gripe Festival” and eat some cheese with that whine.

Thanks, but like I said, I can’t make it up there. I’m grateful to those who will be there. I’ll continue supporting the troops in whatever ways I’m able. Sometimes that means care packages. Sometimes it means confronting those who mean to do them harm in the world of public opinion. Sometimes it means visiting disabled vets. There are a million other things that we all do every day. Anything we do for the troops makes a difference. No effort is wasted.

This war will not be won by demionstrations(sic) and counter-demonstrations...

Viet Nam was LOST with those tactics. We won EVERY battle in Viet Nam but Kerry, Fonds et al LOST all that we gained by what they did. What did they do? Demonstrations and counter-demonstrations. And lies backed up by the Media and Liberals.

...it will be won when the American people DEMAND that we fight to win

Well then how about not fighting against these American People doing that VERY THING?
