TELLURIDE A backlash quickly emerged after the Telluride Town Council adopted a resolution last week calling for the impeachment of President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.
Its huge, unbelievable, said Telluride Mayor John Pryor. Ski groups are canceling for the winter. Hundreds of people are bailing. The (town) Web site is flooded with people saying theyre canceling their vacations here.
Pryor called it a silly initiative. The council, he told The Telluride Watch, is too busy to weigh in on national global politics.
If this was a silly initiative, why did he vote for it? The answer would seem to lie in the fact that the council routinely adopts resolutions, on matters both big and small, with nary a further word. Further, such a resolution would be hardly controversial in Telluride, where only 17 percent of voters in the 2004 election cast ballots for Bush.

Why do liberals always think the rest of us want to hear their opinions?
It's the vacationers who pay the freight; not the residents.
They don't; that's the whole point. Liberals consider their viewpoints final and w/o further discussion. So you conservative sub-humans better sit down in the back of the bus and shut up.
Exactly.
Drink that cool-aid slowly.
You know... I was considering a vacation there. I just might drop them a note too.
HA...these businesses can’t exist without us capitalist conservatives. The left and moonbat crowd are a very small percentage of folks, can’t support businesses. So we’ll show ‘em. You act in such a manner and you’ll have NO business...and will go broke. HA
Of one the sponsors dismissed talk about boycotts by stating something along the lines of “I don’t care if people cancel their trips to Telluride; these people are not welcome anyway” (paraphrase). Guess these morans (Telluride City Council) will come to their minds quite quickly now...LOL.
liberals can’t afford to ski... dumb asses.

Well, if it is so silly, why did you adopt the resolution.
I say keep hitting them in the pocketbook.
Hey, Mayor McCheese...whadday ya think NOW?
Telluride? I never heard of the place, but I hope every business there suffers mightily. Then maybe the capitalism-hating, America-hating scumbags will reconsider their feelings about voting for a party (the rats) who want to turn America into a Euro-style, secular-socialist welfare state. Meantime, screw them.
1. Another example of the risks of believing the pollsters you pay. The only polls that matter are at the cash register and the ballot box. All else is advertising—or propaganda.
2. Another example of the law of unintended consequences (quite the exact opposite of what was hoped, no doubt).
3. Them whut has the gold makes the rules, so don’t offend them whut has the gold with your own vainglorious little rules.
4. BOYCOTTS CAN WORK.
what ?....... Bush isn’t liberal enough for them ?
But, but, but ..........I thought everybody hated Bush and would support this well-thought-out resolution.

Was “One Flew Over The Cukoos Nest” filmed in Telluride?
