Kitty prowls alone
Eyes slowly scan his Domain
Content in silence

Textures sometimes change
Rough to smooth under Paw pads
Kitty is aware

Of scents in each Room
Some much sweeter than others
Kitchen is the Best

Aromas linger
amongst shiny pots and pans
where Magic happens

Polished porcelain
and Butcher's Block most pleasant
Under Kitty's Paws

Neither have Traction
Both lead to the wide Gas Range
Which is always warm

A greatly prized perch
To watching and listening
Either Day or Night

At the Half-Way point
Kitty can continue. Or
take a well earned Nap
