Breaking from Congressman Peter King. The whistleblower protection remains in the Homeland Security bill. This is the amendment that protects citizens from lawsuits if they report suspicious activity such as the flying imams. This is good news.

Glad to see this. As soon as I heard Steve Pearce on the Mikelson progam on WHO Des Moines say the amendment he and Peter King wrote was in trouble I called our Congressman Tom Latham.

Even if this bill becomes law, I think it is too late for the whistleblowers of the flying imams. That happened BEFORE the bill became law...I don't know about the current version, but at least one previous version was retroactive to that particular incident.

I wonder if they we were willing to come along on this because they imagine the mischief they will create by using this when her thighness reigns? Can you imagine the citizens tips given to the ATF? Every chardonnay sipping Birkenstock wearing Volvo driver will be giving tips about their neighbor they hear has guns and waves the American flag. We have to start thinking ahead sometimes about the possibility of these laws in the hands of an administration we don’t trust not just this one we do.
