BREAKING -- HOMELAND SECURITY BILL AMENDMENT THAT PROTECTS WHISTLEBLOWERS IS A GO

Breaking from Congressman Peter King. The whistleblower protection remains in the Homeland Security bill. This is the amendment that protects citizens from lawsuits if they report suspicious activity such as the flying imams. This is good news.

Lieberman wouldn’t accept the position. Why trade a 6 year Senate term for a 1.5 year SecDef stint?

He might take it if Romney offered it, though. Then he stays as SecDef till 2012, when his Senate term would end anyway.

Unfortunately, he had to acquiesce to the leader on the ticket. That is the price to pay.

He didn't have to....

And that's the rub for me....when these guy's abandon their moral compass.

Brings up questions...like what will they do for "their leader"? How far will they go for "The Party"?

The best part is that the law is retroactive specifically for the flying Imams. Hope there's no ex post facto Constitutional issues.

ABOUT TIME!!!! DAMN THE LAWYERS !!

Lawyers...

I've often thought it would be a good idea if any lawyer running for elected office had that fact boldly listed on the ballot. We would see an measurable, if small, improvement in the quality of our elected officials..

This is good news though.

Even better-why don’t he bombard CAIR with so many frivolous lawsuits, they go broke!
Hell, I’ll even contribute money towards that. The moon god cultists wanna play dirty? Then let us show ‘em just how down-in-the-dirt we can get!

I agree. We know from the lawsuit against Anti-CAIR that CAIR folks don’t much like the “discovery” requests from the party being sued...not the first time they’re dropped segments of their lawsuits based on their desire to keep certain information off the record.

Funny thing, back in the 90s clinton managed to turn Peter King, so he was one of the few Republican congressmen who voted against impeachment. In fact, he was a leader against impeachment in media interviews. I think it was something about a diplomatic post for his wife in Ireland.

At any rate, King seems to have turned 180 degrees, and has been one of the strongest congressmen in the past few years. I give him credit for the change.

No need to post CAIR’s address. Ask Senator Babs Boxer and staff for address.

“Barbara Boxer Rescinds Award to CAIR” 12/29/2006 in FR archives.

How did she vote on John Doe? I suspect not to protect Americans and people from the state she represents.

Can I report the lack of border security to anyone? Who’s in charge?
...seems awful suspicious to me...if in fact there is a WOT.

We can pass laws that are retroactive? Huh!

Can we take away Kerry's Purple Heart?

I saw two guys wearing turbans carrying a bomb down the street with a lit fuse the other day. :-)

But I didn’t want to get sued so I stayed quiet. It might have just been a fraternity initiation prank.
