Macy's department store is no longer selling a T-shirt that might offend some members of the Hispanic community.
According to Macy's, one of its goals is to provide an exclusive line of clothing geared toward Latina shoppers looking to express cultural identity through fashion.
However, one such item might have actually offended potential Hispanic customers, so the company pulled it during the weekend.
The T-shirt, which reads

“Oh. I thought it might have something like UPSs What can brown do for you. “
Hey, I represent that remark!
(Granted her eyes are green)
Yes, I've noticed a cultural disdain for their own traits. It's odd. I wonder if any sociology majors have studied the phenomenon.
Me, I like dark hair and brown eyes just fine. (...but I'm blond/blue)
Actually one said “I is for Illegal”.
Oh sure, how many white people use tanning salons? No one is ever happy with what they have I guess.
Apparently they’re called “doe-eyes”, but I don’t know why. I call them DUMB eyes.
I despise Jap animation. It’s dorky and lower-tech/quality than a 1928 Mickey Mouse cartoon.

Guess they should have consulted with these guys:
“have you ever noticed that in Japanese animation, the characters always have any hair color other than black, their eyes are always huge and any color other than brown?”
And what’s with all the panty shots?
I thought it was “Show Me Those Dos Chi-Chi’s” as Rodney Carrington sings about In “Show Them to Me”.
It is our proud Scottish heritage to be CHEAP! My Scottish immigrant grandfather, when he was asked if he golfed, would reply with twinkling eyes:
"Och, I used to, but had to stop. Lost my golf ball."
I am scotish and it IS offensive to pay that kind of money for a T-shirt. For $24,95 I want it to be white and come with a tie. LOL
“...If you call a Mexican woman a morenita, you are admiring her...”
It was different in El Salvador when I was there. If you remarked to a girl that she was “tan chelita” (very light skinned) she would say thanks. A woman once told me that her sister was more “morena” but otherwise very attractive. When a Salvadoran gives an insult for stupidity it is often “Que Indio !!” (How Indian).
Sadly some Latina’s avoid swimming pools because they don’t want to get any tanner.
I’m offended by their offense.
In Mexico, morenita is a compliment. Speaking of a light skinned woman, Mexicans would say tan guera, and a general compliment would be tan chula, or tan chulita. Mexicans don’t say que India, they say que naca, or que naco, sort of like trailer trash with indian blood. There is a hilarious character on one of Televisa’s comedy shows named Nacaranda, y ella es tan tacky! Quesosissimo. I have never heard the word chelita. Learn something new every day.
Anime is creepy.
